FSG is right to play hardball on Ben. No pressure to sell since he's still on contract for another 2 years (I think). Salary wise, it's all been budgeted.

CP will have money to spend; as in all Premier League teams. They would want a good striker. I personally felt that Ben is not too bad, just that he's not suited to Klopp's game. He'll guarantee goals if the system suits his game style. Maybe Pardew knows how to tailor to Ben's strength.

Nothing wrong with playing hardball with them tbh, they are desperate and running options and time. Enough with us getting fleeced off season after season but it's acceptable when teams try to underpay for our players.

Also with them apparently agreeing to sell Bolasie for 25-30m, that would explain why they have returned to the negotiations table. It is probably only a matter of time for us to conclude a deal.

Woodgate was a really cultured defender but injuries wrecked his career. Maybe we need someone with a good defending nous to act as scout for us. Could work.

Season starting and we're still short on LB cover. Moreno is not be perfect but the best we have now. Need competition for him or maybe a replacement. Klopp knows this but strangely still no LB incoming....

Hopefully will get one before window shuts.

i think now with matip around, he should be able to plug the hole left by moreno.
just that matip will probably be out for a couple more weeks...so have to endure abit with just Emre and Hendo in the middle.

Klavan looks good on left CB. Not the fastest but his awareness and positioning could be crucial as cover whenever Moreno bombs forward. Still we need a LB as cover or competition for Moreno.

Matip still looks rusty and not up to pace given he's not 100%. We'll see how thing goes.
