Just got the invoice from the courier about the taxes/duties.

Kena 10% import tax man, in addition to 6% GST! It is classified under 9504.50.000

Any idea how come? GPU should be classified as a computer component, no?

Mine is GTX 1060. Of course I buy for gaming, but can appeal to say buy for video processing?

RM1100 is the cost (USD 260 @ 4.05). They take 10% for the Import Tax, and a further 6% for the GST.

I mean same thing lah. I put into tariff.customs.gov.my website, it also says that 9504.50.000 is "-Video game consoles and machines, other than those of subheading 9504.30"

This is printed on the customs tax invoice already.

I did get an EVGA GTX 1060 SC. The Zotac mini cooling sucks.

Lucky for me, Amazon paid all of these taxes on my behalf. Asked UPS to collect from them, and Amazon gave the money to UPS directly and they settle.

Still I have the certification from Kastams Diraja Malaysia and the Kastams Invoice, if I can claim back the RM110, would be good, since it is done under my name.
