I go there more to collect Pokeballs as there are 4 Pokestops around the lake. So if you jog, you'll hit all 4 in rotation and reach the first stop as it resets. More motivation to keep running more rounds to get more Pokeballs.
Have not noticed any rare Pokemons there yet.
