Hey Bros,

Does our stock brake pads have indicator sound ah?
My brakes look thin, but no screeching sound yet.
*
Our original brake pads can hantam until 80k it seems for the front one if you drive decently. Don't change too early. I regretted mine. I did at 60k

Finally last Saturday I kena clutch pump failure at 69k milleage. From outside, I cannot see anywhere leaking, but brake fluid is decreasing slowly. Finally opened up the gearbox... tadaaaa...slave cylinder leaking.. Damage to wallet almost RM1.4k. I did not change my clutch pad and clutch cover.

Top pump : RM403
Bottom pump ( Inside gearbox) : RM387
Bottom pump adaptor : RM79.50
Mitsu ori gear oil 75W-85 : RM 185.50
Labour : RM300
Brake oil : I got for free laugh.gif

time to claim warranty and make it alive again cry.gif
ya same scenario with u, did you repair this issue after that? hmm.gif  is there any adjustment for this clutch pump like wire clutch?
*
This car use clutch pump. No clutch cable. Cannot adjust . Only thing you can do is bleed the brake fluid , remove the air pockets in the hose. So that you wont get the spongy feel when you depress the clutch pedal.

I can tell you, it is not easy to claim warranty. I tried. SC always say " tak ada apa masalah pun" ... Go to COSE and try. Those small dealer wont layan u. It is a lot of work for them. Most likely you need to leave your car there for few days if really confirmed clutch pump spoilt.

ah yes, i kena clutch pump replacement. similar damage ($)

now looking at ori proton brake pads.
95k mileage. front pads some 10% left, some 15% left.

Proton rm 100
bosch rm 75
bendix rm 128
NIBK 195
FBK 65-95

haih.. cant cheapskate on this. need to live longer.
I search search search, cant find akebono or EBC anywhere. susah

p.s. i discovered our stock pads only have screeching indicator on one side of the pads. so depending on which side wears out first, we might not hear the screeching sound until it is too late.
*
Akebono is not hard to find. But super expensive. The thing is, they last very long and I like it. I did not know Proton has ori pads for Inspira also.
Akebono ones you can order directly from Mitsubishi . Bear in mind, it is very very expensive. Stay away from Bendix Metal King Titanium if you want your brake disc to last long.Bendix General CT is okay.

Now I am wondering is there anyone here who replaced their clutch pump more than 2 times already ?? sweat.gif

will ask for bleeding next service, coz my brake also spongy feel some time sad.gif

Observe your brake fluid level as well. If clutch pump failure, it will leak oil. If your brake fluid decrease noticibly , it is a sign already. For my case , the top pump din leak. From a peek at the gearbox area, i could not find any leaks at all. Once gearbox opened, only can tell slave cylinder leak

Hi guys. How much does it cost to change clutch pump. My clutch showing signs dy
*
It depends on your mileage and your clutch wear.
I did mine about 60k+ mileage. Didn't change my clutch set since low mileage and haven't worn out yet.
That being said,

What I change:

Primary clutch pump -> RM380
Secondary clutch pump -> RM365
Secondary clutch pump adaptor -> RM75

Of coz, I change gear oil and brake oil together. Labour RM300. Total about RM1.2k I think. I did in October last year.

Mine was because the secondary clutch pump was leaking brake oil severely. Can see the brake oil reduce at the reservoir. But my mechanic told me to change the primary one together since clutch pumps work in pair. My mechanic took more than 1 whole day to finish the job since the whole gearbox housing has to be dismantled to replace the secondary clutch pump. So be prepared to leave your car at the workshop overnight for this job

Where you change? Secondary + master seems cheaper then what i get quoted. Want to get my problematic clutch replaced. Every few day my clutch will get no feedback/preasure until i bleed the air out. Cant bloody take it anymore lol.

I bought parts from bintang auto. Lyn forum nick is sontuc i think. Then i bring to my mech to install.

Hey guys. my car already ran 150K kms. Problem is the super annoying CVT. if I travel KL-Kuantan at average 120kmh, almost always guaranteed will get SLOW DOWN warning.

just changed CVT fluid 10K km before. got my car checked by the service technician that time. according to the ECU log, it was 'pulley failure'.  he said hes gonna just reset it, lol.

very recently, I started to feel like my CVT jerks at slow speed, like from stationary picking up speed to 60kmh.

anyone got similar prob? thanks

I think this is common issue when your cvt filter need replacement.

May I ask what is correct part number for rear brake pad for this car?
Is it 4605A265 or is it MZ690569 ?
I am aware that the Lancer has 2 different versions of rear brake pads.
