Guys, I am looking to buy a used car and Inspira is one of those in my radar (drove once, really liked it), just curious whats the approximate running cost of this car? As in the cost of major/minor services for a 4~5 years car.

And whether it's worth considering at all.

do u really test drive other cars? this car will cost u a bomb for maintenance  sad.gif toyota is cheaper

Well my budget for my coming car is 40~50k, be it new or used, maintenance budget would be around 1k per 10k mileage (which is probably going to last me a little less than half a year) and assuming nothing major broke down. Not sure if this would suffice so I am asking here just in case, if it is not enough I might just drop it until I can actually afford a fake inspira which happens to be my dream car.

I did test drove a lot of other cars in the price range, both city and vios, used, both fall a little short for my taste, even the new Persona drives better than both of them and the persona is new, Bezza was the worst car I drove in the price range, but it's new, like the Persona. I am looking for something less than 5 years if I am buying used but for that price Inspira seems like a bargain, plus I kinda likes it unlike the Preve, which is not a bad drive, but my uncle's have a lot of problem with his.

Based on your budget, no doubt that inspira is the wiser choice.

Mitsubishi engine oil is rm100 per 4L
Cvt oil around Rm200 per 4L
Oil filter around rm20
Air filter rm10 (bosch)
Aircond filter rm30 (bosch)
Brake oil (similar with others)
Brake pad, I propose stick with Akebono. Mine at 140k km still have plenty left (wise driver)
Disc brake replace with trw if anything happened rm300 per pair iirc
Water pump Japan oem rm250
Aircond belt rm150 mitsuboshi
Spark plugs iridium rm180 for 4
Absorbers less than rm1k for all 4
Tires,depends on size.. 215 55 17 starts from rm250 per pc
*
Wow, that's actually not that expensive so it's good news for me.

May I know where do you source your parts?

Anyway, I am not in rush of buying the car yet, maybe early next year when my sis is graduating so I can throw my current car to her while waiting the age count of current cars to increase by 1 and hopefully drive down the price by a few thousands. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Hello guys, I am now looking to buy an Inspira, is there any common problem that I should look out for? Like a checklist or something.

Of course, it's been more than 5 years now, just the time when the cars are still pretty good in condition and relatively cheap. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Sorry bro. My bad, just ask Mr Google and is "Proton Ride & Handling"
Suprima S is great car though...
*
It's probably not even that, I have tested the preve and the old persona with the inspira, and preve and the old persona's handling is just better for me, all stock.

Proton's handling is great IMO, and it's probably the only thing that they have going consistently (whatever name they call it, proton or lotus), but Inspira is just not one of them.

Probably need to go Shah Alam then?

All 3 SC near my house didn't have this thing, and one of them even recommended me to find this from mitsubishi parts seller, which I know at least the front one won't fit without some cutting.

How should I buy parts from Proton? Their sc? Because the sc near my house always direct me to a spare parts store nearby or ask me to go buy at Shah Alam…

Hi All,

Does anyone know where can i find cheap replacement for Inspira key fob replacement? Both my key plastic area had broken and now looking for replacement.

Wondering if i can only get the plastic area and replace that? Then i can avoid the need to go to locksmith to thread the new key.

Appreciate any suggestion. Thanks
*
Yes you can, saw someone selling for like 30 or 50

Thanks. Do you know where i can get that?
Thanks for the link. Those are new keys which will i need to bring to the locksmith to thread the blank key. I had done that, but the new key seem to be quite tight and difficult to turn/use. Locksmith mentioned that the key are slightly different from the original.

I am thinking if possible, just get the casing, and transfer my old key to the new casing.

Thanks
*
That's some extra work, IIRC the key are glued to the shell.

I had my new key made recently, they're a bit tighter but became much better after several months

Hey guys, recently my front side marker bulb stop working regularly, had to take out the bulb and put back in firmly each time it happens.

I suspect that the socket is getting loose so the bulb is coming out after some time and is looking to replace the socket, however I couldn't find the places that sells this socket or the part number of it, does anyone here know?

use some paper as a wedge to make the bulb stay in place

Hm... wouldn't that block the contacts to the pins?

Welp, I'll try, for now though, I bent the pin a little bit and it seems to hold for now, I'll try this if that turns out to not work.
