Need a little bit of help here. I may be picky but:

Budget: Max 7.5k with monitor & keyboard
Res: FHD ~100Hz
Games: AAA games
Re-use HW: Mouse and headphones

Prefs:
Cooler: CM Nepton 140XL/Corsair h80i v2/Cryorig a40...or any coolers (close loop liquid preferred) close to their prices
RAM: DDR4 >2300MHz
GPU: GTX1060/GTX1070, OC if needed
Motherboard: z170 board
HDD: 7200rpm
SSD: if any, >200GB.
PSU: Full-modular

Thanks in advance! Also multiple versions of combination from dear sifus here will be better too!

If I were to buy an EVGA GTX1070 FTW that requires 2 x 8 pin pci-e power connectors, which psu would be suitable? Seasonic M2II 620W (Bronze) or Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W?

Just asking, are FSP PSUs reliable and good choice? For instance FSP HYDRO G.

Hi, just want to ask regrading PSU. Should I but FSP Hexa+ 550 or Corsair VS 550. Price is about the same. But warranty is 1 and 3 year, respectively. Thank you
*
FSP Hexa+ is actually 2Y warranty. Consider the cheapest one between the two smile.gif

Thank you. Maybe seller from Lelong and Lazada stated it wrong or maybe something that I miss out. Currently VS550 is cheaper compared to Hexa+.
FSP Hexa+ 550W RM180.25 from Lelong
Corsair VS550 RM175 from Lazada after coupon. Which one is best bang for buck?

Both price doesn't include shipping fees
*
It's just my two cents worth but I would go for FSP, since they are a very good and reputable PSU manufacturer.

Hi everybody. can any of you share ur gtx1070 temp while idle and load. Im getting frustrate with my gtx1070 temp, recently it hits 80c while playing dota for 5 hours straight. Im using Asus strix GTX1070 OC
*
I'm using strix gtx1060 oc though, but it'll never hit more than 65C when setting up to 75-90% fan speed even on several graphical demanding games. I assume you're using gpu tweak ii as well, if not msi afterburner, try monitoring your gpu from those software.

Ok, my finalized build. Should be ok right?

CPU: i7 6700K
Cooling: Artic Cooling Liquid Freezer 120
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 8GBx2 2666Mhz
GPU: TBC after GTX1050 released
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 650W
Casing: Segotep EOS
*
Good looking build, but I would rather...suggest a gtx1060 to suit the overall performance? Most likely if gtx1050(ti) reaches malaysia the price would be around 800-1200 (and non-ti vers would be around 600-800 i think). Top up a few hundreds more and you'll get gtx1060.

can suggest me gaming pc under this budget?
possible to go for 4k monitor?
thx
*
Max budget 5k cannot get you 4k monitor along with the rig I believe. Only X2 your budget can do that.

Unless you say 5k for the rig and the monitor you utilise a separate budget then possible...

ok maybe can give me hardware only without monitor.
plus exclude HDD and PSU

thx
*
I would suggest:
Zotac GTX1070 AMP! Edition - 1949
i5 6600K - 1020.78
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 2600MHz - 233.2
MSI Z170-A Krait 3X - 750
Cryorig H7 - 189
Samsung 750 EVO 250GB - 275.6
NZXT S340 - 315

Total: 4732.58 (inc. 6% GST, all reference price from different trusted distributors @ lelong)

#Side Note:
1. Can choose 16GB DDR4 RAM to meet the max budget of yours, or maybe grab a Gigabyte 1070 G1 or EVGA 1070 ACX3.0
2. Price will be much higher if buy from local retail store, expect over-budget if planning to buy from physical store
3. GPU is good enough to run 4K, but don't expect full-fledged 60fps for some AAA games, would rather suggest Ultrawide 1440p monitor

*
(chipping in)
4GB for GTX 1050Ti
1k - 1.5k, it has to be GTX 1060. Let's say MSi GTX 1060 Gaming X

i5 6500k or i7-6700.

casual gaming like bf1 and future high graphics games.

Can an overclocked i5-6500k perform better than i7-6700? noticeable performance increase?
*
There's no 6500k in the market...

Ok, another friend of mine have this discontinued Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 500W. He was planning to get a 1060 next yr. Is 500W enough for the 1060 ? if not, ill suggest him to get 1050Ti
*
For more safety and future measure I ended up with 650W PSU haha. But the minimum system power requirement for 1060 is only 400W as suggested by NVIDIA.

Take note that overclocking the 6600K to match or overtake the performance of 6700 will require a good Z170 mobo, a decent CPU cooler (stock cooler won't cut it) and PSU (not really a problem since overclocking doesn't consume too much power nowadays).
*
Isn't that overclocking will increase power draw exponentially because of overvolting? Because mine is overclocked but not even a month in age yet, and I fear my electricity bill will go through the roof sweat.gif

Is it cheaper and better to buy hardware at a physical store or just order it online and deal with postage? Because I will visiting KL in the next few weeks and I had plans to buy the hardware there.
*
it depends, sometimes you buy online combined with shipping, the price is more or less the same with those sold from physical store, however sometimes it comes much cheaper via online, such as those trusted lelong dealers.

any recomandation for casing..i need a ITX casing that can use a 212x cpu cooler..bcause dun wan to waste it..
*
Try Phanteks Evolv ITX, since CM 212X is 158mm tall, the clearance for cooler in that chassis is 200mm so it can fit.

Curious where does the RX 480 slots in between RX 470, 1060 3GB, 1060 6GB for best peformance to price ratio?
*
I would sort the list like this though: RX470, 1060 3GB, 1060 6GB, RX 480, for Price-Performance.

Reason: RX 480 is a little cheaper than 1060 but outperforms its rival at latest AAA titles in slight to moderate margin, while 1060 outperforms 480 at OpenGL/DirectX 11. 1060 3GB outperforms RX 470 completely while it is just a little bit expensive than the 470. After paying 100-200 more bucks than 1060 3GB you should be able to get either RX480 or 1060 6GB, so yeah that's my prediction for the list.

Thanks boss, I was wondering is it ok if use Intel core i5 6400 and 4 GB D4 FURY 2400 RAM (2unit) for this rig. Is the PSU compatible?
*
Core i5 6400 and Kingston Fury aren't that energy hungry, hence the core issue would be that if the motherboard is compatible or not. The PSU would definitely be compatible.

It seems like the ASRock H110M comes with a memory OC utility, that actually supports 2400MHz DDR4 RAM, but for certain models. They mentioned ADATA, Samsung and Kingston memory modules.
