2.2k is still quite hard when 23" FHD monitor and 120GB SSD are a must.

I decided to go with i3 instead of G4400 + low end dedicated GPU, i3 with onboard GPU will provide a slightly better performance in Dota 2 as well as AutoCAD, add a dedicated GPU later when you have more money.
If your monitor is still a normal 1080p 60Hz panel then GTX1080Ti will be "heavily" bottlenecked, this is proven by its little brother GTX1070 and GTX1080 already, 1440p is the sweet spot for all these high end cards, the frame rates difference between 1080p and 1440p is pretty small across all the titles.

But yea if you have the budget and can wait then why not?    But you might to need prepare at least 4k just for it, our currency is dropping like there is no tomorrow 

As for monitor, well you can always buy from West Malaysia and ship it to Kuching if you cannot find it locally, but I know the pain, you cannot see the item "physically" till it arrives at your doorstep or high shipping fees etc.

Medium settings which hover around 50 FPS+/- with HD 530.

Just add a GPU like GTX1050 if you can increase budget to RM 2700, it cannot fit i5 + GTX1050 because upgrading from i3 to i5 will take around RM 300 (take i5 6400 as example) and you left RM 200 for nothing again

drop the ssd, and you can get a 1050Ti under 2.5k 

haha, ssd helps to improve the reading and writing speed of a file. It doesn't improve the performance of a game except its loading time only, a 1050Ti > 960 which currently I'm using, Dota 2 ultra setting can get 100-120FPS, for AAA games can go for a combination from med to ultra setting, depending on your personal preferences for your acceptable gameplay. Witcher 3 can go around 45-55 FPS for high-ultra setting. As 1050Ti is better, for sure no problem
