Mostly aesthetic and better heat dissipation (just slightly).

Example of metal backplate on a GPU, it looks much nicer right?  drool.gif

According to Zotac website, yes it doesn't have backplate.

Budget range is a little bit "too huge", so I decided to go for 8k one.

Intel Core i7 6700K - RM 1550
ASRock Z170 Extreme 6 - RM 720
Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB (8GB x 4) DDR4 3200MHz RAM - RM 1236
Palit GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 Dual - RM 1219
Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB SSD - RM 315
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD - RM 205
EVGA Supernova 550 G2 - RM 459
Corsair Hydro H100i V2 - RM 561
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass - RM 449
Dell S2316H - RM 1150

Total: RM 7864 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

You can reduce the total cost by going for non-overclockable CPU setup (can save up to RM 1000) and weaker GPU (mostly for CUDA hardware acceleration usage only).

By right, you are recommended to reinstall the OS, but both of the mobo (Asus Z170i Pro Gaming and Maximus VIII Impact) share almost the same components/functionalities and similar chipset, I think you will be able get away with it. Let's see how the OS deal with it  biggrin.gif

Nope, C7 fan is not "flippable" so pull config is not possible.

Hehehe. I was expecting that answer. So aio cooler it is. One more question, will any 120mm aio cooler fit? Since the h55 is recommended, I went and search my local store and found
enermax liqmax lm120s, id cooling frostflow 120l & asetek 550lc that looks familiar like corsair h50.

Asus GTX1080 8GB GDDR5 Strix (x 2) - RM 6418

EVGA Supernova 850 G2 - RM 659

Total: RM 14005 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

I haven't go into "all-in" mode yet, Dell U2417H is chosen mainly because of its super slim bezel which is good for Nvidia surround setup (triple monitors setup), the downside is slower response time (6ms) and 60Hz (still a standard anyway). As for GPU, GTX1080Ti is coming very soon and should be packing with Titan X Pascal's performance at much cheaper price tag than Titan X Pascal (est. RM 4500).

Thank you. Will use this as guide

What about custom table to house the hardware with some fancy cooling system? Any idea where to get this in Malaysia?

If it is a standard 120mm radiator then it should fit just fine.

Asetek is the OEM for few Corsair AIO liquid cooler and H55 is one of them so they share almost the same appearance biggrin.gif

I have seen them in DotaTech (Ampang), Topmaid (Lowyat Plaza) and Lucro PC (Cyberjaya) before, need custom back-to-back order if I recall correctly, the price starts from 2k last time, probably not the same now since our currency is dropping non-stop since few weeks ago mega_shok.gif

Intel Core i5 6500 - RM 906
Asus H110M-K - RM 253
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 229
Palit GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 Dual - RM 1219
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD - RM 205
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware F3 - RM 125

Total: RM 3125 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

If you want a new SSD, please top up your budget (or if you have HDD/SSD to re-use from your old PC, then you can remove the HDD from the build list and the total cost will be less than 3k).

Yes you can, you can go for i5 6402P to save even more, i5 6400 and 6402P have lower core clock speed (2.7GHz and 2.8GHz) compared to i5 6500's 3.2GHz, a top up of RM 50+ grants you another 0.5GHz pump so the performance/price ratio is definitely there for us to pick it over the other i5 models.

Planning to run games on 4K UHD screen? If yes please get a better GPU like GTX1080, GTX1060 will crawl on 4K UHD resolution, upgrade the CPU to at least i5 too if possible.

The hardware above will cost you around 3k+/- (incl. Windows 10 Home OEM key).
