Did 2:39 for my VHM at SCKLM last weekend. The last few KMs with killer slopes was tough.

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Aug 11 2016, 02:06 PM) Hmm... Will go back home and check tonight. My Kinvara 6 got quite a roomy toe box though. Hopefully is nothing serious so I can start running back next week. Edit: Shoe have enough room. I think I said it wrongly. It is actually here that pains. ![]() This post has been edited by zeipher: Aug 11 2016, 09:56 PM |

Finger crossed. QUOTE(leah235 @ Aug 15 2016, 01:00 PM) Wow. That is pretty bad. Can fight with that badly organized Energizer Night Run 2011 (I think) |

The weirdest thing happen after my PNM half marathon run. My left foot plantar fasciitis healed after the run. Is that even possible?

QUOTE(leah235 @ Nov 20 2016, 04:34 PM) If that's the case, need to add more bukit training since I usually just run the DPC loop around the waterfront. Gonna venture up to the higher part of DPC then. Yea, the PNM HM route is a torture fest of going up, then down and a bit flat before going up again. |

QUOTE(leah235 @ Nov 22 2016, 08:05 AM) I didn't know the route is like a hill game hahaha. Nice! Lucky me every week do hill training (in recent months ) so i get to break my personal record. Yeay!!! But pnm no balloon pacers, feel like something missing... haha QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Nov 22 2016, 10:50 AM) Wah! Elite efficient runner. Just checked my shoes. Around 450km, my Kinvara left shoe already ini macam. Surprisingly, the right shoe is still quite ok. Probably the cause of my plantar fascia problem. Sifu sifu sekalian, boleh help analyze my shoe wear pattern. This post has been edited by zeipher: Nov 23 2016, 12:50 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Nov 24 2016, 07:13 AM) What's the surface you're running on? Mostly asphalt and concrete? (not sure what kind of surface those walkway are My shoes outsole used to wear out very fast too (and one one side in particular) but I think it got better after I changed my running style QUOTE(interferens @ Nov 24 2016, 02:56 PM) where else to do gait and foot analysis other than Asics store at 1 utama? Is it obligated to buy shoes there after the test? You can ask for analysis at the Running Lab in Tropicana City Mall. |

QUOTE(youloong118 @ Dec 11 2016, 11:40 AM) Hi guys, I am new here. 10km run is not a marathon. I previously ran two 10km marathon in 2015 and 2016. Planning to run KL half marathon next year. Any suggestion on how and where should I train in PJ area? Thanks! PJ can try Taman Lembah Kiara in TTDI. For other location or road route, need to wait all the sifu sifu here to reply. |

QUOTE(leah235 @ Dec 15 2016, 05:56 PM) Aiyah.... to have VivoActive HR(VAHR) or FR235? And there is another option to choose. The cheaper new Garmin fr35 Vahr from running, swim, hike, swim, golf funtion FR235 running and bike but more in depth.. Which one to choose.......... i want to record my run & training for VFM Will the lack of GLONASS affect the accuracy of the GPS? Also is Garmin Connect IQ that good to not miss it? QUOTE(sagethesausage @ Jan 19 2017, 03:22 PM) Anyone ever tried ASICS FOOT ID system at 1Utama? Go try a pair of shoes recommended and go let me consider my options Useful one or not? If after doing analysis, can refuse to purchase? QUOTE(sagethesausage @ Jan 19 2017, 03:49 PM) I'm looking to get a pair of Brooks Cascadia, but which version should I get? Newer revision=better? It's up to BC 12 now, which makes the older models like 10 and 11 slightly cheaper. Go to a shop and try and feel which suit your feet the most as each revision usually will have some changes that might or might not work for you. The Running Lab at Tropicana City Mall have a treadmill you can test run with the shoe. This post has been edited by zeipher: Jan 19 2017, 06:27 PM |

QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ May 11 2017, 09:55 PM) Hi sifu sekalian Lots of foam rolling and stretching. Recently when I jog more than 2km, my calves will turn into soreness, especially on the left calf. However, the soreness subsided when I slow down for 200-500m, then when I continue to jog, the soreness came again. I did not feel fatigue at all after the session, on the same day I still can walk and run as usual. Only the soreness at the moment of running. How to alleviate this? SCKLM is short of 10 days Take extra care not to develop into something serious. |

QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ May 11 2017, 11:29 PM) Not sure. It might help as a temporary fix but not on long term. Best to form roll and stretch if tight calves muscle is the cause IMO. |

QUOTE(ariffdude @ Nov 10 2017, 02:13 PM) Need opinions from folks here. Used to be obese, started running about 9 months ago to lose weight, currently run 3.5km every monday wednesday and friday, and 10km+ on saturdays. Joined my first half marathon one month ago, looking to join a full marathon by the end of next year. The thing is do I have to have that thin body you would see those Kenyans have to run a marathon? Because I'm also doing bodybuilding/powerlifting and that really increased my muscle mass. Those elite marathoners have that kind of body because of the way they train and also because having a bigger heavier muscle mass is a disadvantage for them.I'm also targeting my first full marathon next year during SCKLM. Register first regret later? This post has been edited by zeipher: Nov 10 2017, 02:53 PM |
