QUOTE(90Boyz @ Mar 27 2018, 04:00 PM) Their outsole made from Continental Tire rubbers, trust the brand can deliver good traction and good durability, but anyhow also depend how your landing pattern will determine the shoe outsole lifespan. how about asics?another one to good with good cushioning with energy return you may try Saucony Kinvara 8 and the latest model Kinvara 9 will cost RM449 so get older version should be below your budget . i planning to get it from RSH since i have a voucher and would like a shoe for running/gym |

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Mar 27 2018, 04:26 PM) Asics Shoe is good but costly, if you have the discount voucher do go ahead fair enoughbut for Asics shoe they don't any range for energy return but their cushioning are the best cushioning shoe so far as i don't plan to run HM/FM, this shoe mostly for short running, gym and maybe badminton i have ultraboost but i only use it for streetwear so supernova could be the one i will be getting |

went and tried asics kayano and nimbus. both also having 40% discount from RRP but the staff told me i have a flat feet so it's good to get kayano.
but the colors/size are very limited so is it fine if i get nimbus? i'm not a long time runner especially marathon |

QUOTE(jehutyz @ Mar 29 2018, 03:25 PM) If you mean Kayano 24, quite good for the cushioning and support. For 24 it is using FlyteFoam instead of the previous series. Claim to be lighter... Since you had tried Kayano and Nimbus, I think you prefer Kayano right? i think it is 23With 40% discount is quite good deal for Kayano. I'm wearing DynaFlyte cause I want to have lightweight therefore sacrifice some cushioning if compare with Kayano 24. kayano only left green color which i don't really fancy but nimbus lack of arch support? |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Oct 16 2020, 10:11 AM) My 70+ mother uses a mii band for her walks around the neighbourhood as it helps her count her steps. She also notes that swinging her arm while seated also counts as a step. I think for the price around RM120(?) just saw for that price on lazada so you can't go far wrong. NO GPS so you will still have to pair with a phone when out running. It also looks pretty nice for the price and cheaper than most of the watches at decathlon https://www.decathlon.my/29788-watches-gps-pedometers so the mi band require phone nearby for gps?Forerunner 45 at RM710ish is a lot more expensive but their sensors and data will probably be more reliable and you also get garmin coach, connect and their software ecosystem. I think a garmin is a worthwhile upgrade if you start to get serious - i use the 945 and i love it except the altimeter sensor gets blocked due to my heavy sweating. Having said that, in the old days, if you were serious about keeping track of your training you just used a basic casio stopwatch and an exercise book to log your training. currently i just holding my phone while running |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Oct 16 2020, 12:16 PM) Need a phone. AFAIK no way you can get built in GPS at that price. ya maybe i just get a good android smartwatch so i can wear it casually too Nothing wrong with using a phone for something like strava although obviously there will be a lot less data and it won't be as precise. You can just buy a cheap arm strap if you don't want to hold your phone. You need to ask yourself why you want a watch for running and what sort of features you're interested in before people can actually help you here. Otherwise Mii band, phone in pocket is a simple solution for basic running metrics if you dont want to spend too much money. Or maybe spend a bit more money for one of those amazfit watches which seem to be do a decent job on strava. |

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jun 27 2021, 03:36 PM) Hello. i dont use any of them as i find it uncomfortable especially the waistband with phone inside as it will keep hitting myself when runningCan you all recommend something to hold the phones or masks when you are jogging/running/fast walking? Something that's not so intrusive and maybe waterproof? I am not sure if i want those waistband type or those that tie on your arms. Please recommend which ones are more convenient based on your experience, thank you! used to hold the phone on my hand while running ulti i got myself a gps smartwatch i nvr bother to bring mask for running too lol but i saw many just tie on their arms |
