Hi all runners/joggers. I'm new in LYN. I have an inquiry regarding jogging and I hope someone can provide me with some answers.
I am an active jogger. I jog 2 to 3 times a week. I jog as early as 7:00 AM. I jog for a distance from 8 to 15 km per session.
Can I know what are the proper foods to consume before going out for a jog ? Normally, I had cereal biscuits or dates with a cup of water.

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Oct 27 2017, 06:00 PM) Dates are good , but if you can wholemeal bread with spreads will be much more filling . Thank you for your suggestions. How about Snickers bar ? Is it good to eat it before jogging ?

QUOTE(ChipZ @ Oct 27 2017, 07:19 PM) It's very individual. Some would like to eat or else they feel weak. For me I feel bloated if I run after eating something. I usually need 1.5 hours for digestion so for morning run I'd just skip. I see. Understood. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I can't run with an empty stomach though. Or else I will feel weak and hungry (my stomach will literally growling while running).

Let's say you started jogging at 7:00 AM in the morning and jog for around 10 to 15 km. And then you go home and clean yourself up. An hour later, you go to a spa and get a 2 hours of full body and relaxing massage.
Is it a good idea to get a full body and relaxing massage after you go for a morning jog ? Does it going to affect running performance in the future ?

QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Nov 4 2017, 10:16 AM) For runners, I recommend consuming oats and cereals. It gives super energy than just compared to just eating carbo. http://obgyndr.org/wegan/I eat one pack of Belvita and some dates before I go for a morning jog. They gives super energy as well.

Just bought a pair of the new Asics Fuzex Rush a couple of weeks ago and it's safe to say that it is a superb running shoes. I'm lovin' it ! I wore Puma before and it doesn't give enough comfort and protection to the inside of the foot.

QUOTE(kinowerty @ Dec 5 2017, 12:00 PM) Nice shoe. May i know what puma's model you wore before? Thinking of getting the speed 500 ignite in 1 of my rotation as it really cheap to get now. I need a slightly lighter shoe, would you recommend? I wore Puma Faas 300 V3 before. The Speed 500 Ignite is not bad too. I saw the red and black one and the price is RM2++ in Al-Ikhsan. I wear Asics now. It's slightly expensive but it's worth it. It's extremely comfortable and I'm loving it. Are you currently wearing Puma running shoes ? QUOTE(Castreal @ Dec 5 2017, 05:28 PM) According to this site RunRepeat, shoes with the top run scores are from Adidas, Brooks, UA, Nike and Ultra. That is all from experts and customer's feedbacks though. Wah. Nice info. Thank you for sharing. What running shoes are you wearing now ?

QUOTE(SerioseCat @ Dec 7 2017, 10:48 PM) Are you looking for a track in Putrajaya? I recommend the 10.5km main island loop....clockwise or counterclockwise from mcd/millenium monument I see. That's something new. Very interesting. Many thanks for sharing bro. I will definitely try it out tomorrow morning. I always start running from the Putrajaya mosque (near PM's office) all the way down to Taman Wawasan and make it way back to the mosque. You can get 13.5 km on that track.

QUOTE(SerioseCat @ Dec 8 2017, 11:17 AM) This is the 10.5k track that I mentioned earlier : https://www.malaysia-traveller.com/cycling-in-putrajaya.htmlUsually I do 2 loops on my MTB, 1 loop for runs. There is a 6.5k track (3.25k one way) at Putrajaya Lake Club northwards passing through Ayer 8 waterfront, which I think can stretch further northwards after the terminus signboard and further southwards of the lake club police station. Its not a loop so you will double back same way. This one is less congested and serene, but lack of tree covers at the upper half for hot afternoon runs. Do you have a map of the 13.5k? For 13.5k I am guessing you go inside Taman Wawasan itself? I'm afraid I don't have any maps for the 13.5 km track. But yes, you have to go inside Taman Wawasan itself. Happy running bro !

QUOTE(Wonka @ Dec 7 2017, 04:33 PM) I tried the Ultraboost in Adidas the other day. Its super comfy but the price point is too expensive for me. Really ? And it cost you how much ? I read a lot of positive reviews about Ultraboost though.
