*

Having more shoes is not a waste because we eventually use them till expire. Get some different shoes into your rotation bro, running 5 days a week your shoes will need some rests between runs, so I read, to allow the cushion to recover.
*
yeah it's not. but it sure is costly sweat.gif

Any sifu here downgrade from FM to HM or HM to 10k??

Normally when you start running for certain distance, will you downgrade to shorter distance?

Sorry for silly question.. but please share your experiences.
*
what do you mean by downgrade? as in permanently retiring long distance runs in favor for shorter ones or just mixing short runs with the long ones?

i personally will join anything from 3k fun run to 100k ultramarathon depending on friends, availability, timing, budget etc. not sure if that counts as "downgrading".

wha the next uitm ultra seems like they raised the bar even higher. 52km now COT is 10 hours only compared to last time's 12 hours. im interested in doing the 84 but 15 hours sounds steep. prolly gonna DNF if i try sweat.gif

Guys I missed my deferral from 2020 SCKLM I think the deadline was back in June. Is there any hope to still join this year's SCKLM? I've already mailed helpdesk with the request just wondering if any of you guys managed to register past the deadline and how. Thanks!

iinm this year's SCKLM already tutup quite some time back.

yesterday's L'Occitane run, really nice weather if you don't mind the slight rain - very cooling morning run, the terrain a little hazardous due to the rain tho, saw people slip/fell on more than one occasion (speedy recovery!)  smile.gif

I just got a reply from their help team and was asked to answer a few questions to update my participation. Hopefully it goes through!

*aaand it does!

Are there any supplements that you all take for your knees?
*
I'm taking Piascledine atm because it was suggested at my last doctor visit. I've taken it for 2 months, going for a third now. I had a bad fell last year and it hurt one of my knee a little. Nothing too serious but theres some creaking when moving em and hard impacts or climbs will feel a little painful. Feeling some minor improvements since ive taken em but i read the research papers saying it usually took more than 2 months for the effect to be noticeable. Still monitoring em. I've started running again about the same time i start taking em too and i can regularly run a 5K at 8++ pace without it hurting and brief sprints are tolerable.

Before Piascledine, Glucosamine+Chondroitine used to be considered the best knee supplement. Turmeric supplement is another alternative for knee and joints.
