I see. Yeah usually i won't do any exercise at least 3-4 hours after meal as well.

For regular training/daily runs i don't usually consume anything prior to it. Maybe a bit of water if throat feels dry.

The livita is like a "secret weapon" for running/obstacle events or demanding activities like a long hike. laugh.gif

Usually before events i will eat those gardenia/massimo roti krim or muesli bar or banana, empty a can of livita and wash it with plain water a bit.

Wah quite popular aa this trick. Might give it a try.

But other than cheaper price and need to prepare manually, does it functions similar to isotonic drinks?

Because what I understand about isotonic drinks are they're basically water+sugar+salt and can also replenish electrolytes.

Basically what i'm asking is, does ORS, isotonic drinks (100 plus) and running salts serve the same purpose of replenishing electrolytes and interchangeable?

Or is it just a matter of amount/concentration? Maybe isotonic drink alone doesn't contain enough salt?

hmm if i'm not mistaken ORS usually contains sugar (glucose) as well. i think those running salt in form of tablets/capsules are the ones without sugar.

i guess those 3 electrolyte supplement can be simplified like this?

- water, sugar, salt in one package
- cost more compare to ORS
- convenient, just drink
- fixed/not flexible ingredient ratio
- mostly carbonated, might upset tummy?

ORS a.k.a cirit salt
- sugar, salt
- can control sugar+salt to water ratio
- cheaper compare to isotonic drink
- less convenient, need to bancuh
- non-carbonated

running salt a.k.a electrolyte tablet/capsule
- just salt
- salt intake no need to tie with fixed amount of sugar/water
- very convenient just pop em in

but 90-san 100 plus have sodium and potassium oso right not just sugar. or are u trying to say the sugar is too much and the salt is too little?

Anybody else going for viper tunnel and/or spartan semenyih this weekend?

any tips on what to expect from spartan race for a mostly viper guy?

barely man. my arms/upper body is sorely lacking in training. it's pretty traumatizing. i guess it's kinda dumb doing viper and spartan back to back lol.

also kena punk'd la. say 5km only end up almost 10km. they always do lidat issit? if super & beast how many "extras" can we expect from the actual distance?

on the topic of trail shoes, is there any issue using trail shoes on road races? will it worn the gigi faster? or maybe effect the landing a bit more?

i went to running lab the other day and tested on cloud shoes.

they're damn comfortable and light but it looks a bit fragile. anyone have experience with these shoes? how's the durability?

just by looking i kinda imagine the holes gonna get squished after few months of use. hoping they're sturdier than they look.
