Can someone explain to me what is Physical layer, and please correct me if i am wrong, for my understanding, since it is protocol, and protocol is set of rules how something is react according to the rules in this protocol, so can i said that it is a standard, rules that we need to follow when we write firmware to control the networking hardware, so that the raw data bits can be transmits via the medium ?

and which part of networking system "implement" the physical layer ?

Let me ask you one question. Do you know what are the 7 OSI Layers?

don't worry or confuse about the word protocol and layer of this OSI model

just think of this physical layer as anything which is cable - copper cable
fiber cable - anything that needs to connect one physical connection to another
physical connection - this la - is the OSI physical layer 1

why don't you have a networking textbook?

want to buy? I have many good ones fr U

I have got many books on IT in the field of network computing and this one is the 'best' and
clearest and can build anyone's zero understanding to a well versed undergraduate level of
computer networking

I got this in as a real book (text book) and in pdf too and I find both very useful - when I'm out
of my study room I use the ebook when I need to remember and understand and memorise
and highlight concepts and sentences I use the real book - you need both for me I do

http://authors.phptr.com/tanenbaumcn4/

I graduated with hons from London with BSc so I'm not bullshitting or selling anything

I can vouch for this book. tanembaum's book are pretty much the only book you need, if you only can afford 1.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_model#Lay..._Physical_Layer

basically its hardware level, you need to understand that u cannot connect fiber cable into a rj45 connector, what is the purpose of a modem, if rj45 is used, how much voltage u should pump into it, how far the cable can go. If wifi what is the frequency to use, how much wattage to magnify the signal, how frequent to broadcast SSID.

The physical layer or layer 1 is the first and lowest layer.
