Yesterday I got email saying I got Wilmar scholarship for Malaysia Public University. Can anyone got experience explain how this scholarship works. When I can get normally, terms and conditions. The email said I need to send my university acceptance letter.Then only I will official letter and can move on to the next step. I am curious how this scholarship works.

first of all, congratulation for obtaining the Kuok Foundation scholarship. it is more than scholarship and money, but it is a recognition for your hardwork and achievement.

normally scholarship is spitted into 2 payments, and it is provided you at the start of every semester. at the end of the semester, you must provide the semester result transcript to show that you maintenance a minimum cpga eg. 3.00 in order to continue enjoy the scholarship.

the beauty of scholarship is you dont have to pay back nor work with them at the end of the term.

resource: experience sharing based on my scholarship (not Kuok Foundation) about 10 years ago, and my brother got Kuok Foundation scholarship about 20 years ago.

Congrats. Ya I got it this week. Need send t&c agreement letter before 29August. Do you have any idea when we could get the scholarship? Kinda headache wanted to solve this before I go to UUM cause I am staying at KL(so far)

But then why we need guarantors?I thought only loan nid guarantors~scholarship dunid pay back right?

Ya. It is not even a loan and they still need guarantors. The letter that they sent is letter of consent for the guarantors, if our guarantors is approved another letter will be sent. So much procedure. About ptptn, I also didn't apply but I think we need provide provide a proof we didn't apply. Monday I will give t&c letter, while giving I will ask about it and inform you.

Hello, I got Wilmar Scholarship too and I've just sent out the t&c letter. But I'm not sure whether the letter of consent of the two guarantors can be sent after 29 August? As for now I'm at my university preparing for some activities. Do you guys have any ideas about this?

I asked the foundation today while giving my t&c letter. They said we have till 29 November to submit documents about guarantors. Of course the faster you do, the faster it will get process. Only the t&c letter need to send before 29 August.

About ptptn, They said that when we enter universities, we need to get a letter from university bursary or treasury or any kind of department that handles money matter saying that we didn't apply ptptn loan and send it to them.

Hi , may i know how you all get the selection by kuok? Whats yr cgpa? Are u very active in koko? Cuz i do not know their selection criteria. Pls tell me plsssss

I am not very active in Koko. Just moderate. My cgpa is 4.00 stpm student. They will not only look at academic achievement cause myself did not do well in spm , I even got D in my result. As long u show the effort to change ur situation, they will see it and it can help with selection for the scholarship. And as long u are bright and poor. U will get it cause with scholarship it will change ur future. Only those who really needy will get cause that is the main reason of the scholarship
