Description :

The story takes place in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

In spring, a mysterious student transfers to Magami Academy. His name is Hiyu Tatsuma. Then, he meets Horaiji Kyoichi of the kendo club, Daigo Yuya of the wresting club, Sakurai Komaki of the kyudo (Japanese archery) club, and Misato Aoki who is the student leader, as if they were attracted by something. Being influenced by Ryumyaku or Dragon Vein, which became active suddenly, they are awakened as "persons who posses powers". Since that day, monsters called "Oni" appear and begin to assault Tokyo. Also, those who use evil power to control Oni appear. To protect Tokyo from them, Tatsuma and his friend stand up to fight. Then, they have to face their destiny....

No big melons here, but fighting scenes are plentiful. Do expect some gore in this one.

I just manage to Google the anime up... Looks like there alot of gore and blood even with the 1st episode out. Just from the screenshots I don't think it's the anime for me... I was looking out for an anime, something in the line of Samurai Champloo type of action and this anime just ISN'T it!

Yeah, it's one of my favorite anime this season. Overall, some of the scene is quite disturbing. My little cousin hate it but the fighting is cool, though. But I'm still waiting for the next installment of Ikkitousen.

It's nice. Full of action. Has some reference to Taoist, Shinto, Buddhist stuff.

But one thing is the flashbacks are not noticable and can get you confused. But overall it's nice.

Very slow indeed n the quality ain't on par with the other anime out there. They're getting the raw directly from Animax channel too lol. Not bad for this anime I would say.
