Those of us lucky enough to have gotten TBC at launch should have been playing nearly a week. So what do you guys think?

For me I have been playing since the 17th and currently level 62 (about 4 bars to 63) and I have having a helluva lot of fun, other than the lag from 500 players running all over the Hellfire Peninsular killing everything that moves. Still, its not so bad for far east players like us due to the time difference if you play in the evenings.

Its like starting WOW as a new player again with so many things to do - new guests, gear, factions. I dropped all my unfinished pre-TBC quests to make room for the dozens of new quests. The new 5-man instances are very fun - a good group can finish them 1-1.5 hours which is very easy to slot into your playtime.

I'm glad i didnt grind for some of the pre-TBC gear which wil be outclassed by the new items for most people. Almost everyone of my guildmates has already dropped MC/BWL gear for greens and blues. If you (like me) arent loaded with Naxx epics you can expect to be making gear upgrades each time you run an instance. My warrior who started with a mix of PVP and MC/ZG epics has seen huge improvements in gear since starting TBC. I've already done two talent respecs and AP has zoomed from 950 to almost 1200.

Since everyone is running 5-mans there should be no surprise that tanks and healers are in strong demand. The minute i login as my warrior, I sometimes get two or three whispers asking if i'd like to tank HF: Ramparts or HF: Blood Furnace. Since I was a PVP-head for more than a year, I had to relearn tanking again but boy, I have never felt so appreciated smile.gif Heck, I'm even thinking of a third respec to get some protection talents.

Yeah and i made a BE paladin - just like 1000 other players from my server smile.gif Some guys have already made an all-paladin horde guild called "OMG Pallies". Some of the older gamers might remember a crappy sci-fic TV show from the 70s called "Man from Atlantis", and will cringe when they see the bloodelves swim just like the title character from that show (Patrick Duffy).

So short version is: Yes, i am enjoying TBC a lot - sorry for the long-winded diatribe smile.gif

Blizzard's move to raise the lvl cap to lvl 70 and making blues item in BC better than raid epics is more of a strategy move. It pleased the casuals in the sense that they can finally see all the 40man raid instance. Also not to forget the hardcore guilds where they can finally forget about getting the epic items that have never drops for them. Casuals want a chance to raid and hardcore guilds gets better gear. Prior to that of a lot of hardcore guilds are already complaining about having too many things to do but too little time to do it. Now everyone is happy.

Blizzard is laughing all the way to the bank right now. They have the amount of servers never imagined in any MMO history and yet a quick check at US Realm Status website still lists many servers as Max (queued).

I would say Im quite pleased with the current new 5 man instance.

It does have quite some challenge if you do not have the right skill, teamwork. After running archiduon, I would say the difficulty is already on par with bwl, AQ. But its just in 5 man run

Looking forward for more exploration before I jump into conclusion

I was a resto shammy and it took me forever to complete to solo and complete the quest. So, i respec to Enhc
Previously as a resto shammy, i only have like 340+ atk power but a quick mix of nice green and blue gears, my atk power jumped to around 820+ (Pretty low coz my other guildie managed to hit 1.2k ap as a ench shammy). But i have high crit (24%) + high hit rate thanks to the new TBC gear n talents.

There are TOOO many quest in TBC that i dont even know where to begin with.
Just for lvl60-62 itself, the quest lines involves 3 regions: Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh and Terrokar Forest.

1 thing i really hate about TBC is the old heartstone system.
I find it EXTREMELY annoying to ask someone to port me back to Org and back to Shat. They should implement another Hearthstone that set 1 home in Azeroth and 1 in Outlands.
Another annoying thing is Felreavers and those "Sandworms".
All 3 of my characters got pancaked by Felreavers several times doh.gif

EDIT: 1 more thing i hate. The amount of server restarts during the weekends right after the launch of TBC.

Well I haven't bothered with levelling my 60 characters so no comment on that.

For low level Blood Elf / Dranei though, a bit disappointing. I do like the "buy green/blue items for 10 silver from vendor," but the levelling ... is basically the same old kill 10 of this, or collect 10 of that, or deliver this to that guy, or get this back to me (although with different npc names and scenery).

I haven't been to any instance coz of the damn line yet. However, been doing all the quest non instance and it is great!

I've been to the pvp town and it's a blast as well.

Yes but quest with compelling storyline demands a lot of traveling and it will be slower to level that way. Its hard to have significant questlines at low levels. Hopefully they can at least give more insight about the race, their histories in quests at the higher levels.

Omg, Netherweave is selling 12g per stack in my server right now.
Im getting like 240g from selling netherweave cloths alone.

I guess the price will drop after everyone lvled their 1st aid n tailoring skills to 375.
