Hi, need helps on switching (MNP) into XOX Prepaid.
Have been using Hotlink for more than 10 years already, and wanted to switch to XOX due to long validity.
Only back to Msia every 3-4 months and using the line.

ATM, my Hotlink line will be terminated in Sept, unless I reload.
Can receive call & SMS, but CANNOT make calls & SMS.

The question is - is my line currently considered Active line (due to above)?
Bcos I read the issue of 30 days active before ported-out.

I'm not sure whether I can apply to ported-out straight away or not and I only have one chance to go to the XOX Counter & do it....due to my trip back to Msia every 3-4 months, stay one day in Msia & leave again.

I wanted to get 2 Sim Cards yesterday, but the seller said I must Reload RM50 (each sim) first to get the 28 month validity.
I argued that I wanted RM10 Reload only (as above). But, he insisted on RM50, & saying the RM10 Reload is "no more promo". Must have RM50 now...so I did not proceed.

1) if i get prepaid now,already got validity extended to 28 months. Until June 2021.
Let say I buy some package of rm50, & another rm50 in 2020...does my validity still stands at June 2021? Or even more? Just assumption......

2) I have 3 Hotlink under my name now, using it more than 15 years dy, if I ported to XOX,do i get the benefits of 'member get member' offer (since its all under my name)?

Having a new sim(new number), and have SP with Data + Call mins.

Bought new sim on 9th Feb,and have been in Brunei since.

Balance supposed to be RM5 is DA,but was RM3.30 after one week(when i'm still oversea)- activated the sim while abroad.

Then, Used it for 2 days only in Miri last week.
Today balance in DA shown RM1.30 today.

Still have 98min of call.

What can be the cause of the Balance reducing? And checked,i dun have any premium sms sent/received either.
A bit worry about this situation....

Asked the seller,but havent comes back to me for 5 days dy.

looks like they simply charged any overseas roaming.
I just on the sim kad and there is charges...even for some received SMS.
They said I did replied(sent) some 26XXX numbers, but I didn't. then I asked back how I can send to any 26xxx number while im oversea? she cannot answer me.

Now, they are refunding my Balance.

But, never want to on the phone while oversea now. phobia.
Even my call to Service Center now costed more than the balance that I have loss.

Think twice. How to received any TAC while abroad ah after this??

But, soon i will add another 2 sim cards, how about the App's login details?

1) what is the MAX amount of Voice & SMS you can transfer/share with another XOX Number?
There is some limits, right?

2) Auto Data recurring, after the period of subscribed has finished (e.g. 30 days). Do you have to stop the Data Recurring every single time you transferred & used the data from your SP? or only Once(whole Life)?

For example, I have data usage in April, and I stopped the Recurring Data.
Then, in July I transferred & used some data again. So, Do I need to stop the Data Recurring during that time, again?
I hope I get my question clear enough.....

Anybody have experience over XOX prepaid Maybank TAC (SMS) while abroad, roaming?

Here is my experience last night
1) using M2u to get SMS TAC in Brunei. 2 TACs
2) each TAC has been deducted RM1. Total RM2
3) Only on the sim card to received the TAC (SMS), nothing else.

Isn't the first time bumping into "charging on received roaming SMS" with XOX. I encountered with 'premium SMS' I received at another New XOX line that I didn't subscribed to......XOX refunded it.

However, for this case, it is voluntary request bank's TAC so I wana know whether it was charged as Roaming SMS received or not?
As I aware, others telcos did not charge such? amyrite?


Anybody can advise on such, or have similar experience with m2u roaming TAC? TQ

I'm the same, have 2 sims that was more than 15 years with Hotlink....and ported-over earlier this year.
Never regretted it. It was the best move ever for me.

but this views is based on my own due to;

1) I'm working oversea - so benefits on the validity
2) Celcom (XOX) has the best coverage in Sarawak, second to none. And after ported, discovered that all the internet connection is far better than before.
3) Love the "no internet pass, cant uses internet thingy", so you wont be charged with unwanted exorbitant internet charges (happen countless time to me).


That's some benefits that I can think off, purely based on my personal views, & using it in Sarawak only so far, so U own decide.

But if you are not happy then can ported back mah, same number. In Hotlink, for 15 years of usage, there isn't much loyalties points rewards or such, right? apa rugi
