Haha. At least before I even sign up one. It already seems very complicated.

then no choice maybe just MNP during sign up.

besides, after signing up online, they will deliver the SIM card via post rite? Do I need to be physically presence when they deliver the SIM card? Becos I always deliver things to my parents house instead of mine as I am never at home during office hours.

Yoodo delivers SIM card to my parents house and they can receive on behalf no issues.
*
Please tell me you haven't made the mnp online yet... If you do it locally no delivery fee and you can freely ask them if something goes wrong. Quite hard doing so by online.

QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 28 2020, 10:54 AM)
besides, does oneXOX comes with basic Internet which if no data pass on can still have Internet access? or they are charging pay per use Internet when one does not have any data pass? or it will just simply has no Internet connection at all (no pay per use Internet) as long as one has no data pass?
*
Xox does not have basic internet and ppu, so no bill shock but the internet will halt as soon as data you activated is zero even though there is data stored unactivated in season pass, therefore if you want to stay connected 24/7/365 the cheapest way is to purchase welcome deal 10gb + 333 mins and activate 500mb every 30 days (resubscribe automatically as long as you don't turn the feature off)

QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 28 2020, 10:59 AM)
not bad, there is eSIM option, even prepaid eSIM is coming up soon.

God knows when e-sim will be available for prepaid, plus the list of phone is high-tier only

I haven’t done anything yet. The number is my main line. Can not afford to risk it. That’s why I try to understand the plan fully before making any action.

Do it locally meaning what? They have physical store that can visit to do the MNP?
*
Oh alright, phew

Onexox dealer is scattered the whole Malaysia, chances are there is a dealer near by your place

They need to reach their kpi of 2 subscribers pe month so they are more than happy to have you as their customer

For onexox prepaid, I suggest this plan to those who uses very little each month, and monthly commitment is less than 500mb/month and calls below 50 min/month

Higher than that, other telcos suit you better

If you are a heavy data user, up to 100gb/month, then I suggest black db89 rm89++/month since this plans allow hotspot, but if calls is not important Unifi air is better

Yeah. Looking at the package other than the long validity, this prepaid does not really have other advantages over the traditional prepaid. one seriously needs to be on super low usage in order for this prepaid to be useful. Although the season passes are designed to save users money actually looking at the package one will end up paying much more he is a 'normal' user that uses about 5GB per month.

There is hotlink unlimited plans that costs only rm35 nett monthly that will be much suitable for them.

This plan will probably be suitable for people who hardly use the line but want to keep the number without paying too much. Example like people who resides in overseas or not in bolehland most of the time. Or suitable for elder people who purely use the line for calls.

I am just planning to switch to this plan to temporarily park my hotlink number here until my unifi contract is over so I can sign up the hotlink broadband and postpaid package that costs rm99 with hotlink postpaid line for extra rm10 but with 10GB data and unlimited calls. Existing hotlink users cannot sign up this plan, that's why need to port out first then port back in to hotlink again to sign this package.
*
Oh I see... If you are planning to temporarily park this number without making calls, Unifi bebas is better because you only need to pay rm10 for the sim and keep the number active by turning data on once in a while

But if you need the calls then this plan is okay too. If you have any season pass left when you're going to port out, ask people around if they are interested and sell cheap2 smile.gif or donate if you feel generous biggrin.gif

How many months before your Unifi contract finished?

nov only will expire. so still got few more months.
*
Five more months, if you divide cost of sim and season pass, about rm12/month for average of 2gb and 66 mins

Of course this kind of pricing is only available for new sim, others pay rm13.2 only if they purchase data during their birthday month

xox black can not be used by onexox user.
*
Well then what app did i use then that mimics the xox black app? OoO

Seriously, they consolidated both prepaid and postpaid into one app, just like celcom, u mobile and digi

Maxis on the other hand... Maxis app, hotlink postpaid app and hotlink prepaid app

yeah. the welcome deal is still ok. but the season pass or the data pass are freaking expensive. even more expensive than any other prepaid available.
*
Agreed. That's why if you are a medium to heavy data user I'm not suggesting xox prepaid. Xox postpaid, maybe, if you relies heavily on hotspot.

QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 29 2020, 12:15 PM)
haha. i just saw a real life proof of how 'complicated' or 'confusing' the onexox is even among existing users.  tongue.gif
*
The old app has been discontinued since last year, which is funny because it still makes it to huawei app gallery before being discontinued.

The app login is either otp or email, but the otp is not good as digi since both will log you out if you open the app without internet connection, but digi logs you back after you close the app, connect to internet and reopen the app. Now I am having difficulty asking for otp for my relatives living far away just because i clicked on the app without realizing my internet is off...

Yeah. I would recommend anyone to go with hotlink m prepaid unlimited at rm35 instead. Totally no need to worry about other cost. Monthly just pay rm35. No need to pay SST too.

how come u need to ask ur relative for OTP. u are subscribing line for ur relative?
*
Exactly. Since you need to hold the line for 5 more month then calculating the cost of mnp and season pass, monthly commitment of around rm12 is ok

My distant family member registered not under my name, so...

QUOTE(hengger @ Jun 29 2020, 01:54 PM)
Yes confusing and one more weakness onexox dont have office branch. It is kinda difficult if we have issue to solve.
*
If I'm not mistaken they have authorized dealer all around the country, you can perform many transactions there including ownership transfer

to be fair, a lot MVNOs in lion city also do not have any physical stores to handle registration or other issues. A lot of their supports are online only to save the operation costs. so far so good, as long as there are people available for online chat or replying to emails. after all, not so much problems needed to be fixed for typical users.
yeah. still ok if only buy the sim pack + welcome deals.

sometimes i hesitate to go to those ah beng shops. I dun really trust the way they handle my data (such as photocopy of IC etc.). normally to sign up any mobile line etc, i only do online directly from their official website or go to the official store if they have one one.
*
In the past they may ask for a photocopy of your ID

Now even the xox dealer you see at street or pasar malam they use app to capture and verify your ID, not using personal camera app or hard copies

Alright2, x-force can be considered as official store, but if you want the really official you need to go to sunway pyramid

Hi , looking to port in a number to keep
May i know the unifi rm10 sim ,does it come with some data ,or else how should i turn on data once a while ya?or i nid purchase some?

One xox the welcome deal with rm30 or rm50
Which State can get validity for 28month
Does the welcome deal voice and data also last so long? Or only for first month?
*
Unifi bebas: You get 3gb lte and 100mb 3g data, and for limited time offer, free one lte unlimited monthly. Therefore, after one month, to keep the number alive, just activate data and surf a bit and your number is safe for next three month

Onexox: If you mnp from other telco, you automatically gets 28 months of validity, although welcome deal is a steal since it is the cheapest cost per data and min you can get. There are several welcome deal, some lasts as long as your sim is valid and some is activated right away and lasts for a month. For example:

Welcome deal that lasts as long as your sim is active:
1. RM50 : 10GB (stored) + 333min - the most worth for money if you use little data per month
2. RM30 : 5GB (stored) + 100min
3. RM30 : 333min

Welcome deal that is activated right away
1. RM50 10GB (activated immediately) + 10GB
2. RM30 20GB (activated immediately) - the most worth for money if you want to use large amount of data and is planning to use data for a month only

Now, for data that is stored, you can decide amount of data to activate, as low as 500mb valid for 30 days

I have received 3 SMS for XOX Selfcare recently which I have never requested. Is there any way to check what happened? My account seems to be normal. My credits and season pass data also left untouched.
*
Best case scenario: They input wrong number

Worst case scenario: Your android is infected, they can remotely read your sms and is planning to log in and transfer everything. So they deal with someone else for certain price per data/min, then use your account balance to transfer to the buyer

Luckily my balance left just RM5 and data almost finish, I only keep this number for its validity. If a transfer actually happens, will XOX send a SMS to inform me?
*
I only have experience in transferring season pass by sms, but after transfer is successful you get text. I assume the same for transferring thru app

sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Not complicated lah, furthermore this offers only valid first 10 days after activation so no need to think so much

Buy which one suitable for you and you are good to go

For unactivated data dial *150#, choose 3 for internet and choose 2 to activate data from stored season pass if you have some, and whenever happy hour season pass offer arises buy them first and use them later

The latest app has TAC feature to ease login, but beware if you open the app without internet connection you will be kicked out and need a new TAC

Installed the XOX Black app myself today and set up a pin for it and this time the TAC is really for myself. biggrin.gif
I must say the app looks polished, but still lack some features here and there. Keep it up team OneXOX.
*
Good, but even better if you get ref code from someone so both of you can get free 500mb. If your parents number under their name then you can get 500mb each from them. In app, touch the bottom most right icon, then tap on profile button, you will see referral code

Anyway, don't miss out on offers for new xox black app user, 3gb for rm10. Although I'm not sure if the data is stored in season pass or activated immediately. However, by the look of it, no data plan for 3gb/month but proceed at your own risk

Edit: For the parents stuff I got confused between you and leroi2x lol anyway just gonna put there for others to know

Nono this is not new user

It is for new xox black app user

No matter how many years you used cox as long as your first time og on to xox black app you are counted as new app user

Now go to bottom second to right icon (letter) and click on promotion/news, your offer is there

Checked already, nothing there. Is it because I logged in to the website Self Care before?
*
Not sure, but if the app asks you for pin no it means you are new app user

Try refreshing the page when you are at the promotion section. Or try checking it out tomorrow, perhaps system is still processing

Another method is to go to your profile, scroll down and click on one time deal icon

but until now still 8am-6pm, after 6pm will consume normal data

Don't think so, xox is not obliged to give free data but they give it anyway

The proof is xox 8am-6pm data has no restriction, can be used on any app

There is no b44, it is b59 with 44GB of data

Also, the 100GB data is b89db

Sadly, xox official site is pathetic, so I use this for more info
