Basically,

1. free 1800 sms (150 added every month) between onexox only. Free sms doesn't expire.

2. Yes, all in season pass + any credit + free sms balance usable all the way, no need to topup even if credit is zero.

3. when validity almost done can buy 1 year validity to add to existing validity (stackable)

At first onexox prepaid may seems confusing ... after 2-3 days of use then it all makes sense ... get the xox black app to manage (all) your line(s) and subline(s) in one place ... you can even buy validity in it now ...

Hmmm .....

my first premium scam sms deduction on my onexox line happened recently ... I was shocking.gif

After 10 deep breaths, I emailed CS with a brief detail of what had happened and was given an automated-received-notification and later on a case number was issued.

It says that credits will be refunded if it was an auto registered sms within 5 (working?) days ... and walla ! .... it was refunded within 3 days without any fuss ... fastest credit refund I ever got from any telco yo !

Hmmm .....

Does anyone else have any problems adding sub-lines in selfcare and/or black app ?

I'm getting stuck at TAC in selfcare, its suppose to send TAC but never send ...

In the black app, the TAC can be sent and received but got stuck at TAC input screen an nothing happened ....

Tried the last 3 days still the same ... so, just asking if happens to anyone else ...

Suggest that you lodge a report by calling 12273 or email to cs@onexox.my giving full details ... if it was auto registered then they will refund you ... I asked ankel gugel and it seems that premium sms 20000 xoxfun should not have happened at all ...

The first 30days barred status, you can receive calls + sms ...
The 2nd 30days blocked atatus, no incoming calls/sms ...

In both cases, you must reload minimum RM5 to get active validity status. Once in active status then only can you buy 1 year validity. Even if you want to mnp out you will still have to reload RM5 ..... so, before you forget, go reload rm5 and buy validity immediately ...

Hmmm .....

In the black app home screen,

1. select the number which you previously bought esp30 (21gb) voucher ...

2. then only go to the rewards page to see it be listed ...

3. redeem to start the esp30 plan

Thats how I found it when helping someone to redeem the thingy ...

The reward page apparently will show referall reward with any number but reward for specific number will only be shown when it is selected from main screen.

Thats normal on some phone ... aftet all the welcome sms arrived then you ahould restart phone to get it registered on 4g

Hmmm .....

After mnp completed, you need to purchase any one of the welcome deal season pass to get 28 months validity.They have revised the mnp validity sometime last year.

Once you get 28 months validity, your line can make + receive calls all through out the 28 months. Topup only required if you need to buy more season pass or yearly validity.

Please be aware that to return to active status you must make a minimum rm5 topup. I had this experience before.

I did it before and the topup is received but line is not active.

if line is important then buy 1 year validity lar ... if not then new sim + welcome deal to get long validity ...

AFAIK all 5 numbers per IC in onexox have the option to gain 28 months validity within the first 10 days ... now even mnp must buy one of the welcome deals to get long validity ...

All my mnp to onexox got long validity ...

I have been away for far too long from this thread ...

Upon learning of the new 14/3/2024 TnC .... the 1st thing that comes to mind is whether onexox is in financial difficulties and wanting their subscribers to give them more money ... this new clause 74 looks like a way to scam legitimately ...None of the big 3 telco does it this way ....

It is dumb irony that onexox wants to give loooong validity but must still meet topup requirement every 120 days ....

Why? ARPU? then they should have thought about all this before .... Is there a new hotshot in marketing who wants to prove himself to the boss ?

New clause 75 is vague at present. No way to check package status.

if this clause 74 remains then it is finally time to abandon ship ...

This is precisely what I meant 2.5 months ago when I mentioned that there's no way to check validity package status. The bloated black app DOES NOT have this piece of crucial status info. The recently redesigned web self care does NOT either.

Sms are known to NOT have a 100% reliable delivery. Onexox wants users to prove their purchases with sms? What if it never arrives ? What if the sms arrived but the phone suffers damaged beyond recovery (and no backups like on old folks big thumb phones) ?

Xox as parent company should just focus on enhancing, improving and refreshing their onexox prepaid plans with better offerings. They shouldnt be wasting resources on black market (which still looks like a ghost mall to me) or xox ewallet (which is still not generally accepted eveywhere like TnG or at least grabpay/shopeepay).

Fine, onexox wants to play games with us subscribers .... okay, I'll bite and stay on for a long long time while giving onexox only peanuts ...

I've been lurking over this space for a few months now and came to a few simple conclusions.

All prospective new users should be advised on how to comply with the new stupid TnC in the most cost effective manner:

Option 1:
After activating a onexox number (new/mnp) there's actually RM5.30 credit inside. Topup exactly RM50 and get one of the cheaper RM30 welcome deal. Claim the additional 8 months validity in the app. After all this buy the 12 months validity package. Save (take screenshot) of the validity purchase sms.

Simple calculation: simcard (RM10) + topup (RM50) = RM60 total. Total credit after topup is rm55.30. Deduct cheap welcome deal RM30 and 12 months validity RM25. Total validity is 4 years 2 months++ (30+50+850+240+365 days).

This way onexox can't make you do any topup for 4++ years. I believe the cost is still reasonable for parking a number this way.

Option 2:
For daily use, don't buy welcome deal. Topup RM20 and buy 12 months validity. Wait for Happpy Hour season pass to get your season pass data for daily use. There's one offered every other day ... ex: RM15 for 10GB+50mins+50sms

Many users are not aware that onexox data plans now comes with 512kbps basic data when your subscribed quota finishes. For daily communications, 512kbps is enuff for basic whatsapp/tele messaging.

For existing users affected by the new RM30 TnC, I am curious to know if anyone else have topup RM30 and regained their long validity automatically after a few days as was reported by our fren here:

There's this clause in the TnC where they reserve the right to amend at any time bla bla bla ... so they only need to announce and inform unilaterally ... it sucks to be subscribers at their mercy but thats the standard practice everywhere ...

as subscribers, we need to understand how the system works and use it to our advantage ... which unfortunately right now is very blur because their CS themselves don't really know how the mechanism really works at the backend ... more time is needed to understand it ...

The old welcome deal for mnp was removed a few years back ... any mnp or new activations now requires welcome deal to get 28 months validity.

For the time being, my understanding from CS response is :

CODE
IF (activate onexox prepaid new or mnp) and (buy welcome deal to gain 28months+8months) and (buy 1 year validity) THEN
   no need to topup rm30 every 120 days until end of current validity
ENDIF

That's what I was told but to be honest if onexox suddenly changes TnC again then all this is becomes BS and we'll start all over again.

One of my number received the 120 days notification. I just reloaded RM10 to see if it counts ... nope, it got barred on 29th may ... so after 3 sms, the number got barred. So, they will just bar the number if we do not comply with RM30 within 120 days. After barred 30 days it will be blocked 30 days then terminate. I unbarred the number and transferred everything out. Haven't decided yet but maybe I'll do some experiment to see how the mechanism works (or maybe just get a new number). Seveal pages back xinaixin have a very interesting piece of info of the unverified mechanism. Probably need several more months to confirm it.

Another BIG problem right now is confusion by everyone. There's no way to check validity package status in app or selfcare. The only proof of validity package purchase is by sms (which is not 100% reliable delivery). If not received or deleted or phone broken then we subscribers have big problem.

I only found out about the 512kbps basic internet early this year. Tested with 512MB FAT500 and confirmed basic internet 512kbps speed after HS quota finishes. DATA BAL says 10GB basic internet. Been using it that way since then. People around me also started using FAT500 as backup plan. Basic whatsapp and tele messaging works fine at 512kbps. For the sudden need of HS data, I just do DATA ADD 500 ... Do note that the 500MB and 1GB monthly plan can only sub until 31-DEC-2024. It will still auto renew after it but cannot sub anymore after the date.

Any new onexox activations can/should refer to my suggested options one page back (post #9852). The rm50 welcome deal has less value now ... the Happy Hour RM15 has better value ...

For now, I'm staying with onexox to utilize the FAT500+basic internet to the max but will give only peanuts and breadcrumbs to onexox for playing this kinda game.
