Is XOX throttling YT bandwidth? Everything else flies but I can’t seem to watch YT properly, it will buffer. Even Netflix has no issue, no buffering.

I don’t recall having this issue on U Home 5G.

Add-on: Looks like max only 1080p, anything beyond will buffer. I guess I will live with it for now on my iPad. Tomorrow will use my laptop to play above 1080p.

Cikgu does not limit YouTube res... always get 2K, 4K or 8K res if needed...



With 30 seconds readahead and zero drop-drames at 2K res, Cikgu delivered main bola hari²....

Anyone try speedtest at Bukit Bintang KL?

I try speedtest(Black B50) on my stay at Bukit Bintang KL on 16 & 17 August and get 2.61mbps & 3.59 mbps for 5G while 4G gets 16.3 mbps & 18.1 mbps.

Attached speedtest results.....too many users at the same time and same area ???

I think my problem solved after I updated to the latest YT app version, didn't realize there was a new update and after updated, everything flies again.

What is thaf BZERO plan?

OK, 1X-22 throttles YT speed at this hour. I tried on iPad and YT app on Windows, both speed slows down once I switch to above 1080p.

Buffer health on 1080p is good but once I switch to 1440p or 2160p, it drops to 0.00s and climbs back very slowly. Connection speed all ok.

Annoying betul. So, last night it wasn't because of the app issue, it is indeed being throttled at specific hours. I tried early in the morning and afternoon all OK.

Yeah, I’m not sure why they are doing this. I think after 12am, the throttle is removed. I will check again tonight.

I’m still thinking as my mom actually only needs it for 3-4 days in a month when she goes back to our hometown. It seems Digi/Celcom add-ons are cheaper like RM 3 for 100GB for 3 days. The only bad thing is they may not have 5G if it’s not a monthly plan, only 4G which speed may be capped to 100Mbps. My Digi and Celcom spare numbers are all in passive mode which I hardly use, only extend RM 1 validity according to their grace period. So, not yet confirmed if I will switch. Moreover, I still have the free credit from the dealer which I haven’t used yet.

Oh, I thought is like yellow telco zero ambassador postpaid plan.

Something like if you got outgoing call or use data, you pay the bill.
Or else your postpaid bill comes with RM0 if you don't do any outgoing call or sms.

Anybody got use redone prepaid plan? Saw from Ultraplus Yearly RM38 look ok, comparing the new onexox prepaid RM48 for 1 year validity.

No, I don’t have VPN. Maybe YT is throttled to 6Mbps but other sites are full speed. Though I also notice IG Reels buffer a bit but not like YT.

ever since ported out from xox to umobile postpaid u38, call quality improved tremendously and spam calls/sms reduced too.

I had been feeling slow speed ever since that submarine cable news last week.

X load slow, YT maybe, netflix also laggy. However if I connect to Nordvpn (thailand), everything load very fast.

You mean on XOX? So far I don't have issue with others though, only YT and IG Reels.

However, when I switch to UniFi 500Mbps, everything else works.
