Overseas PPLs also have this feature and as a reminder for your boarding time in case you miss it, if I'm not mistaken. However, I don't know if ours has this feature activated or just for recording purpose.

i guess they are following this system (reminder). 2 weeks back at penang international PPL, the staff came looking and reminding some guest to proceed to board the plane. A good move.

I'll be going to GM tomorrow and will update whether they ask for my boarding passes or not, and what the do with them. Normally I don't pay attention to what they do, as they always ask me to take a seat first while they process my card.

i will normally go in and unload my hand carry luggage first.... then only pass the card to the counter and straight go have my coffee. They will come to get my signature n return the card.... (if fail, still got free coffee rclxm9.gif )
