Just an update on GM's free access meal: Now only Americano coffee, green tea and Lipton iced tea offered as choices for the free drink. Last time I could get a nice cappuccino from their proper coffee machine.

Yea indeed. Last year the meals were much larger, twice as large for the salad and 1.5x more for the mains.

Based on your description, it seems like 1 boarding pass allows access for more than 1 person. But the 1 card, 1 person rule still applies then.

Possible scenario: 1 boarding pass, 3 cards (same name), for 3 persons' access (different names)

I wonder if this works? Anybody who has tried this combination do update here. I'll try too when I'm able to do so.

Recent experience at GM klia2:

1. Staff asked for boarding pass and I gave them my wife's (arriving in KL)

2. Provided 2 cards under my name but staff requested for at least 1 card that is the same name as the provided boarding pass. I asked the staff whether the requirement was necessary but she answered "it's ok then"

3. Access granted for 2 cards under my name

I feel that they will slowly tighten the requirements going forward.
