Unable to receive whatsapp notification, After updating to version 2.16.7

Hi everyone,
I have just updated the whatsapp to version 2.16.7 and i noticed that i do not get any notifications when anyone sends me a message. I have checked the settings and all notifications are switched on. Anyone having the same issue and how can i rectify this? I have already restarted my phone but the problem still persists.  TQVM. |

got turn on power saving mode?
power saving mode will disable the notification pop up. else check in phone setting->apps-> whatsapp -> enable notification |
