I have done many times in Terminal .... sudo nvram SystemAudioVolume=%00 but the sound still come up loud on startup (OSX: EL Capitan)

Now I really feel like want to Shoot and kill the person who invented the Chime sound.

Anyway, please help if you know how to permanently shut down/disable the Chime.

Have you tried instead of %00, follow what the instruction state with %80?

Hi, it works sometimes with %00 and then sometimes with %80 but only for a while.

Few days later, the chime sound will comes back again and again.

(especially at midnight when everyone sleeping the HUGE CHIME SOUND can be heard by the whole kampung.)
