Any guesses for the coming ASW2020 and AS1M dividends?

AA 5 - 5.5
BB 5.51 - 6
CC 6.01 - 6.5

My guess is BB for both. Why? Due to the declining local market.

Thought I expected 5.5-6% for ASX this year, the AS1M 6.1% is disappointing. Why? Because ASM gave 6.3% mah. Ha.

Wonder why the generally lower % for AS1M. Due to the differences in investment portfolios among AS1M and others? Like to find out when they release the annual reports for AS1M and ASM, compare the portfolios.

Or ...

AS1M is opened to all. Does this somehow affect the return %?

Sorry to speak my mind here, why are the ones with non-bumi shareholders generally not doing as well as the other special group?

Cheerio.

It's open to all races but with specific quota
*
Thanks Sifu for the clarification.

Yes, AS1M, ASM & ASW are open to all.

But ASM & ASW have bumi and non-bumi quota while AS1M does not have such quota. So AS1M is generally easier for non bumi to get in.

Please share if any one here knows the bumi and non-bumi splits in ASX.

Thanks.

P/S It has been quite some time now since I got into this. Maybe my infor above is wrong? Please correct.

I tried AS1M via Affin online but can not for the past few days. I have done that a few time successfully in the past. But now, when I clicked to buy, the screen just stayed the same instead of the usual form for one to fill in.

Am I the only one having that problem?

I think it is now still in 'transaction' period for them to calculate dividen earned by the investor since dividen just also declared, will be back to normal only on the 4th Oct I guess.

so I'm guessing the same for Affin too?  hmm.gif

Thanks.

But I thought I got that problem earlier than that. Tried to call Affin but no one answered the phone.

You may be right for the overall population out there.

But here in Lowyat forum, I think it will be 1 or 2 levels higher up than the average.

My gut feel.

How much higher can they go? 500,000 = 30,000...still only 5 digits. 1,000,000 = 60,000 (5 digits).

Mind you, we are talking about 1/3 of fully subscribed units...not so easy to even accumulate 1,000,000 of AS1M, but if 1,000,000 of either ASW/ASM/AS1M sure not so difficult...

So I can say majority (99%) is 3 - 4 digits AS1M dividend..no need to do polls ✌️️
*
That is one way of looking at it.

I look at it at another angle.

I recalled a quick estimation I did some months ago when I looked at the annual report. Data as below.

2001 unit holders with RM3,655,051,489 worth of AS1M

ie average of these holders = RM1.8 million each

Being average, there are others with more than RM1.8 million. 2, 5, 10 millions???

RM1.8 million * 0.061 = RM111k

My gut feel is there are many of these unit holders in Lowyat!

Let us not argue this till the fat lady sings. Wait till next week and see.

Cheerio.

P/S 1 question comes to mind. Is AS1M also for fund companies?

Was not aware of that.

If not allowed, why do we still have the POLL menu button in FBIH?

Need help from those who have ASW2020.

Like to complete what I have done on top HNWI in ASM, AS1M. Left out ASW as I do not have its annual reports.

Like to have number of unit holders with >500,001 units and the total RM for that group for the years 2011-2014.

Eg for 2015, it is 3964 with RM5,933,929,567

I find it surprising that AS1M top HNWIs own more than ASM and ASW.

Many thanks.

Many thanks. I have also tried to get the data online. Why is ASNB not showing the past annual reports now?

The updated data is here.

Earlier I said the online application for AS1M subscription in CIMB was not approved. Today the status was changed to Approved. So now all 3 application for FP approved. But with the "bad" experience of buying ASM, will just use it for play play only.  biggrin.gif

I bet in next year ASM, AS1M & ASW annual reports, the >500,001 unit holder top HNWI will each increase by at least 1. You know who is that guy lah! Ha.

The recent chit chat on HNWI, VHNWI and UHNWI prompted the top group comparison in ASM & AS1M.

Good wishful target to pursuit!

While I was looking at the charts, u have posted the above ! icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't think my data will show up next year. Current thinking is not to park so much this year. Once my target reached, will stop buying the FP. My allocation is still FD much higher than this FP fund.

Anyway today hopefully can get higher amt of AS1M ! rclxm9.gif
*
Mind sharing why FD over this FP?

Inside secret? Ha.

Slightly OT here, mind sharing why you don't like UT?

I don't like UT (at least the majority of them), only there to make money for themselves with all the fees. Yes, some but very few are good ones.

What are the top 2 concerns you have with these FP as UT? Maybe that will help me in clearing the FP glasses I am using now. Ha.

Thanks.

Today got 64k top up on AS1M. Probably still lower than the 5 figures mentioned by others. Still lower than my target figure. Still keeping some dough in Affin. Unable to get any ASM and ASW today.

8 more trips like this they will add "1" to their above 500,001 unit holders!

Senang lah for you!

Well done!
