Smaller allocation for FD. ASX FP dividends 6%+/- vs FD <4%. No need to think hard. (Still have EPF & CPF, dividends and profits from stocks.)

Hi all, I've an off topic to seek for opinions.
My housing loan interest is 4.6% p.a. ASNB return around 6% p.a. It's simply calculations based on paper, I should park muy money in ASNB instead of "top up" my downpayment to 20%. Am I right? Or there's another factors that I haven't taking consideration yet? Or I should increase my housing dp to 20% so my monthly commitment of mortgage would be lesser? |

Housing loan interest is among the lowest around, that's how many people are leveraging. Higher dp is when banks don't approve of higher loans. Also, if this is an issue to you, better get those flexi loans instead so that you can top up the loan in near future... 👍 |
