QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 4 2016, 08:37 PM) Thanks bro, dividends still in units? Mind to tell more? Can i leave the dividends inside my asnb account (like fd add back to principal) and let it grows? Just rumours. If is true, units won't be reinvested. It will be given out as cheque or bank in. For now, it's reinvested. So for now you can do it like FD.

QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 4 2016, 11:14 PM) Which means asnb propose not to "reinvested" in the future? No compounding.. sad Thanks bro, good night. Nope. Not them. Is Securities Commission decision whether to allow ASNB to expand the fund or not. Again this is just rumours. Nothing set in stone. Most likely won't happen. Compounding can still be done. Just that this time, instead of updating the book, one will have to manually add the money given by ASNB whether in cheque/bank in account to the book aka hunt for units but it will be difficult. Why? If no one withdraw, there are no free units to withdraw. Again this is just rumours. Nothing set in stone. Most likely won't happen.

QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 5 2016, 01:35 AM) Please don't ever happen.. Without compounding interest, what's is the meaning of saving You still can add it manually. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Oct 5 2016, 09:20 AM

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 5 2016, 01:31 PM) Well its still early to say.. But if happen, most won't take the hassle to manually top up.. Spend spend spend would happen Which is good as it help to stimulate the economy. Imagine how much million being pumped back into the market. It's toublesome for those who want to topup but it might help us to receive consistent 6.x% returns if economy is good.

QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 6 2016, 12:34 AM) Lost 1 month dividens? Why? Cause 3/4 is not the lowest amount of the month if you were to topup on 3/4. The lowest amount of the month would be on 1/4 which is a holiday. So any amount topup after the 1st won't be counted.

QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Oct 6 2016, 08:50 AM) My favorite top up time was after 10 30am. My bank staff told me the BEST time is 12-1pm. I've tried 10am+, 1130am and one of my favorite was 3.30pm- 4pm. But as everyone knows, it's all about luck & timing. As long as one is willing to keep trying with a helpful staff, you can get get what you want quicker. It's a huge advantage if you can leave your passbook with staff but for an average investor like auntie with no connection, must thicken my face and hopped like bunny from 1 bank to another. If you just look at current 100k deposit, dividend 6%+ vs FD 4%, I'll 'park' myself at the bank to accomplish my top up, no matter how hard it's. I can buy a lot of stuff with the extra 2%.Agreed. For me, That 2% is very importsnt to me for it to be compounded. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Oct 6 2016, 08:55 AM

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Oct 6 2016, 08:50 AM) Anyway the FP is still part of my allocation. Still way lower than my FD and other asset allocation. Affin wealth guy approached me to buy ASG, I said, "no, no". But my allocation may change to higher % as I started last week with even lower numbers for it. Anyway, after reaching target, don't need to run to the bank every year (unlike promo FD). Save time and petrol.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 6 2016, 09:28 AM) The only way to mitigate is to top up ASW or ASM ony bbgoat, I agreed with nexona88 and wil-i-am. To set target for the other books, DON'T TOPUP the book which already reached target despite it's easy to get. I was also like that. Buy, buy, buy, turn up my AS1M not balance. But who cares already. My ASM and ASW2020 already balance.

QUOTE(brianklc @ Oct 6 2016, 12:06 PM) Need to balance? My ASM is 75%, ASW 15% and AS1M 10%. ASM high bcoz easy to get due to no race restriction. Up to you. I prefer balanced (look nicer - eg all 5 digit instead of only 1 book 5 digit, rest all 3 digit ) with exception of my AS1M.

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Oct 6 2016, 12:16 PM) it is not up to you to determine this, as based on luck one, at this juncture, every one will get AS1M easily compare to others..... . Nope. Not necessarily. As I said, my ASM and ASW2020 both exceed my AS1M by multiple times as I never touched my AS1M book until this year. Last few years, busy topping up ASM. Then decided ASM too much (cause of the rumours), move to ASW2020 (even the banks told me the red book is hardest to get - the highest demand book) top that one up until more or less same level with ASM. Only slipped in AS1M whenever ASW2020 is out of stock. So end of the day, both my ASM and ASW2020 far far exceed my AS1M.

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Oct 6 2016, 12:35 PM) ic ....... question any way to know what is the distribution in term of the funds own by ages, demography, etc and so long never heard of new funds launching, will this year be the lucky year Nope. That's private and confidential info which they won't release to public. Already SC don't want to allow unit to be reinvested (rumours. Nothing concrete), chances of opening new fund is next to zero. Somemore it was announced in press conference that they are not opening new fund.

Ai, should not have shown the actual number here. Want to share the happiness and motivate others as what can be achieved in 3 days. You can do like guy3288, cover out total amount, just show topup amount.

QUOTE(PenangLaksa @ Oct 6 2016, 11:31 PM) Got a ASG-P account through Maybank today with 3 months' FD for 8.58%, believe you all know the catch... You took it? Should not have take as all their VP are not performing. Besides there is a 5% SC.

QUOTE(PenangLaksa @ Oct 6 2016, 11:58 PM) We shall see.. As FD rates are forecasted to get lower, I'm therefore willing to give it a try Yes FD rates are dropping. But don't forget all ASG comes with 5% service charge. You already lose 5% up front. Second, ASG is highly dependent on KLCI. If it's not doing well, you will only get 3% p.a (personal exp). If you want to go for ASG to beat FD rates, that's the worse idea as funds like KGF outperform ASG anytime.
