QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 20 2016, 02:08 PM) nexona88, for you. Glad that what you've achieved No la. Best time is lunch time and before bank close. 3+pm like that. Eat lunch fast. If you are going everyday, just bring RM2k like that. If you have 3 books lagi easy. One don't have try the other one. Guaranteed if go everyday, min RM2k sure can go in if you have 3 books. Don't be choosy. Be choosy only when you feel have enough. Cause for ASW2020 particularly, I always try RM250x4 like that at post office. All masuk. But since found affin bank, I one shot hentam. No need for small amount anymore. Also if you don't want to go everyday, just keep a lookout on this forum. Sometimes got insider info stating 7 figure units for sale. Best time is before major festivals, school holidays, after dividend date. For me, I will choose everyday if it is not out of the way. I won't have what I have today in ASX FP if I didn't use my school holiday and go to banks everyday once my FD matured. many ppl would not even bother to try and give up. Some of my friends think that I'm kinda stupid keep trying like this... Btw what's asx fp? I plan to keep trying (nearest) places for me, post office + bank at every morning when I've the time to do so. Hopefully I've rezeki, can lamax2 jadi bukit. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 20 2016, 04:51 PM) If you are uncomfortable carrying large amount of cash, find a bank which you know you can topup, open BSA there. Auntie twinkle used to carry cash too. Until she found affin bank. Open account with affin bank and contra from there. Only sad thing about that is your money is not earning anything in normal SA. haha aunty twinkle, what is BSA account ya? (I guess it stands for basic saving account)?once I can top up, then I tell them help me to minus from BSA? Need to bring BSA bank book/card or not? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 20 2016, 05:16 PM) BSA = basic savings account ya, I'll open BSA at the bank that I be able to top up. Thanks for the tips, it really helpful on newbie like me. They will ask you how are you paying? Cash/contra (minus from account). Tell them contra. Give them your atm card/bank book + IC + account withdrawal form. |

QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Sep 20 2016, 05:24 PM) Now that you have an account with ASNB, it'll be easier for them to process ASM & AS1M (if units available tomorrow). Just go back to this RHB branch during off peak hours and just ask them to try 100unit only (to open account). It's easier to hit with 100u. If lucky, you may get to open both tomorrow. it's very informative sharing, I can learn how to open & top up my account starting by tomorrow As Ramjade suggestion, if there is a nearby Affin bank, try and visit them as they're quieter there. Be humble and polite when you approach any of the staff. Even if no units to open or top up, if it's convenient, just let them know that you'd like to come back later or stay around (camping) and retry after 15- 30mins. Majority of 'investors' I've met during my 'hunting' days ended up opening 'basic saving account at Affin Bank as the staff are extremely helpful. Many tried 'octopus bank' nearby but was 'shoo' away to Affin Bank too. At the end Affin Bank benefited with extra new accounts and deposits. I only asked for ATM card and no bank passbook as I dislike carrying it. I just produced my IC for any transaction. If you've a passbook, you may need to produce it (I think). I've carried 5-6 digits visiting 2-3 banks, 4-6x/ day as no one will look at old auntie swinging umbrella walking pass by. Probably they'll try to avoid me as much as possible in case I accidentally hit them. Be extra careful when you carry cash around esp if you walk out from 1 bank to another. Easier to deposit small amount each time unless you're as lucky as me and some of the member here. I'm sure if you visit banks more frequent, your chances will be higher. Good luck. I'm sure you can move your funds bit by bit once you've your passbooks with frequent visits. actually why some bank has quota but some don't have? are they all sharing the same platform to check available funds? Or it's allocated specific amounts for certain banks/agents? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 20 2016, 07:28 PM) Like I said before this. Official answer is quota is full. Wait for next annoucement of new fund. Quota full because easier to say quota full then try to open account. Opening account is the hard one. After opening account then topping up is easy. I also guess that's official answer for everybody who want to open account. When bank check for units, they are checking whole malaysia. Only asnb can see in real time how many units are there. Banks will key in what you want. If say you want rm10k but only 9500 units available, you won't get it. ya today they help me try one by one (from 1500 to 300 and I got it) thanks to the helpful RHB staff. I think she keep trying by lowering the amount per 100 for me. but why ppl don't try their luck directly at ASNB hq? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 20 2016, 07:54 PM) You meant asnb branch. HQ is in KL. Why? Simple. Out of the way. Like for me, it's located in shah alam and I am in klang. If I am not mistaken, they have limited branches per state. Refer to their location and you get the idea. oh then u do it at klang Affin instead of going to asnb branch/hq.Having lots of branch is a waste of resources when you have agents WHICH IS suppose to do stuff on your behalf. but sometimes banks are unwilling to help mah, so I thought go to asnb branch / hq comes with higher or certain chance to open a/c or top up units. |
