QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 7 2016, 09:48 AM) I found it surprising on one form which I have to declare when I tried to open AS1M ac for my son the other day. Hope that some friends here can help. Maybe [Mr Gray] can clarify. apply credit card pun sama....That form is on whether one has USA residence, account etc. Is that the norm now when opening financial accounts? Why? My guess, USA laws too widespread and over-powering, they can use that link to investigate, get data etc etc? Cheerio. new rules and regulations |

QUOTE(yygo @ Oct 9 2016, 09:46 AM) bro, 1 mil saving? you must be joking. much much much more than tat! Was surprised too...1 mil small number, how to be chiak biu leow? how can his 1 mil be compared with pipu with mm? If you read...he said he will be broke by the time his youngest daughter go to Uni, apart from his EPF... So to spend 1mil (plus some shares),..in 15-20 yrs with monthly 10k spending makes sense? Belum kira-kira... This post has been edited by OPT: Oct 9 2016, 10:04 AM |

QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 12 2016, 12:49 AM) Hi all, I've an off topic to seek for opinions. OT:My housing loan interest is 4.6% p.a. ASNB return around 6% p.a. It's simply calculations based on paper, I should park muy money in ASNB instead of "top up" my downpayment to 20%. Am I right? Or there's another factors that I haven't taking consideration yet? Or I should increase my housing dp to 20% so my monthly commitment of mortgage would be lesser? IMHO, better to park in ASX FP...it makes sense. Housing loan interest is among the lowest around, that's how many people are leveraging. Higher dp is when banks don't approve of higher loans. Also, if this is an issue to you, better get those flexi loans instead so that you can top up the loan in near future... 👍 |
