whatsapp : app is 'light', not memory/processor intensive and fast launch speed, app is responsive, easy straight forward easy to use with no bs and can share documents but lack of certain customization (that most users would not want lol) like emoji/stickers etc. it works as it should, for messaging and sharing contents.

wechat : for purpose in Malaysia. App is heavy, takes awhile to connect and to launch the app but alot of customization like emoji, allows you to follows official accounts of brands for any promo purpose, mostly unwanted features tbh
