Mind sharing where you bought the green perlon from? That shade of green compliments the Alpinist very well.

mk2 reissue or vintage?
either one I'll take that over pelagos anyday.
and shouldn't u be asking in the other watch thread?
*
Lol correct thread but old one..sorry
Reissue mk2..Have a thing for lumed bezel but cant justify myself for an ETA(pelagos) with that price..only thing stopping me on the mk2 is that its used (some say scratches add character, not me though..)

Dear All,

How to know when we should send our mechanical watch for services? Is there a timeframe?
*
Loaded can send every 3-4 years for service.
No money practice "Dont fix it if it ain't broke"

Hi if my watch is under warranty and can be free service, should i send to services or not?
*
This is from Citizen site;

(a) Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the watch while in the possession of a consumer not caused by a defect in material or workmanship.
(b) Damage caused by accident, misuse, tampering with or failure to follow the care and special handling provisions in the Instructions.
© Damage and/or scratches to the finish of the case, crystal, bracelet, strap or other components caused by wear or accident.
(d) Moisture damage to a watch not marked 'water resistant' on the case back or damage from moisture in 'water resistant' models that is a result of opening the watch, broken or damaged components.
(e) Damage caused by the consumer's failure to have the watch serviced at the consumer's expense in accordance with the following schedule of regular maintenance.

Do check what the warranty covers for your watch.
Imo i wont send my watch for service unless they are >5years or they run slow/fast, call me cheapskate

Sidenote; Anyone here selling their GS Snowflake SBGA011?

I’m thinking of getting a new Tudor Black Bay. May I know from the experienced what else should I consider around that range? The 72 hour is a plus point for me. However not too sure on the riveted strap tho.

Get Pelagos instead not much difference

aardvark can't you just order the part? I suspect you'd need to leave a deposit of sorts at least, hence why they're asking you to go in. Won't take two months; they just give you the worst available estimate. Last time I sent a speedy in for some repairs, some parts took up to two weeks to arrive.

And in today's wet wet weather, something legendary...
