It's been a while since I'm that excited enough to post in the watch forum. I no longer wear a wristwatch and a simple fitness tracker fits my needs. The release of the Omega 2022 novelties changed that. The release of the Rolex Deepsea Challenge in 2012 is an eyeopener. I like the top view dimensional proportion of the watch. The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional released in 2019 looks nicer. I wish to have these watches on my table as functional decorations but of course these are experimental purpose built watches that were never meant to be sold to the public. Invicta Hydromax doesn't count.
Nice to see Omega release 5 different Ultra Deep models.
Only 18.12mm thick, tested to 750 Bars of pressure and rated for 600 Bars. For comparison, my OSD300 with a thickness of 16mm is tested to 37.5 Bars and rated for 30 Bars only. I'm looking forward to view and inspect these Omega watches...
Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch looks nice and it successfully creates brand awareness for both Omega and Swatch in general. I'll probably get a piece or two for collection. I wear a fitness tracker almost 24/7 on the wrist nowadays because apart from telling time, it is more useful with heartrate, sleep, SPO2 and step counter. I suppose I can wear a watch on my other wrist but people may think I'm crazy. I don't think I can pull off a Schwarzkopf or a Maradona unless it becomes en vogue.
mastedo Take a look at Revelot Admiral and Hexmariner series. If you want bang for the buck, take a look at Pagani Design watches. Build quality for the price is good. Both use Seiko mechanical movements though some Pagani Design models use different movements.
