Well, Omega is pulling most of their distributors and only maintaining very few dealers. Standard discount is about 10-15%.

Depending on your powers of negotiation as well as relationship, can eke out a bit more than 15%. This is also model dependent of course.

Yup; I'm told the only ones remaining will be at KLCC and Pavilion, but those are Omega's own stores. SWG in Nu Sentral told me they are maintaining their account, but Sincere has given it up. Smaller ADs like the one in BSC will also be giving up their Omega account. Most are clearing off stock, standard 15% but can definitely ask for slightly more (ahem).

Does THG stock Omega? I cannot remember correctly, but the one I frequent (in Gardens) does not, I believe. Not sure if this is the case across the board.

WoS is actually one of the sub-groups under THG. In Gardens, they have three "tiers" of stores... so the bread and butter is the one nearest to entrance with Rolex and PP. And then the so called more budget friendly carries Sinn, Longines, Tudor, Zenith, and also Hublot. And then just across is their supposedly more high end brands like JLC, Panerai, AP, IWC, etc.
And yes, a friend of mine just purchased a Sinn from WoS some months back. |

Omega service center is in KL; address on their website. Yes, you can just go to a normal shop. Battery prices should be under RM20, so anything more and you know you're getting ripped.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jun 30 2017, 10:56 AM) under rm20 usually not swiss batteries....those usually jap or others with different voltage which in long term will damage the movement. Oh, sorry - I did not know this. How much would it cost for an Omega battery replacement? So happens I was at Wata Time over the weekend and a customer actually asked and I overheard. But I did not remember the price! |

QUOTE(ymgoh99 @ Jul 16 2017, 11:48 PM) hi guys, need some suggestions here If you stretch your budget a bit more, there's a beautiful Sinn 556 floating around on forums. You may want to check it out. Else, nothing wrong with your Seiko, may as well save up to have a healthy 10-13k budget, would be my advise.currently owning a seiko skx007, been wearing for 2 two years+ now, im thinking to upgrade it, what brand watches also can preowned also acceptable Budget :2-3k |

QUOTE(zXJaMeSXz @ Jul 18 2017, 02:30 AM) Hey guys... WataTime in Pavilion. Look for a late 40s early 50s guy; I cannot remember his name. Say intro by Won.I'm looking to purchase a Tudor Black Bay S&G soon. Any idea where's the best place to purchase it? I need a place that also offers at least 1 year installment plan. I got a quote from the Gardens store for about RM17k with steel bracelet and RM13.5k with leather. |

Yes, I have seen the watch in person some weeks back when Ming brought it out for me to molest. Many Swiss components, which qualifies it as Swiss Made, but 100% Malaysian designed. That dial is truly beautiful, with layers and textures in different light. It sold out under 24 hours after Fratello/Hodinkee published their write ups. There will be more, but this is genesis.

I have left some watches unworn for 6-9 months; the most difficult thing to do was to adjust date and time. Ticks as normal.

Well, I've sold my Seikos, none of which were at a loss. I'm not in it to make mega bucks but flaps shouldn't simply, well, flap. Of course, going into a watch purchase thinking it is an asset isn't also the correct mindset.
Anyway, here we go: ![]() |
