several users here have recommended Wah Foong at Jalan Raja Laut..
that being said, I personally haven't tried servicing any of my watches there.. hmm.gif
*
go somewhere else if possible..
my fren went there to service his automatic watch recently..

poor workmanship...
maybe unlucky but still........ shakehead.gif

have a vintage or neo vintage, this is the guy you go to. highly recommended. usually we only sent watches which are rare in spare parts to him for repairs.

have a new ceramic daytona or some whacky new ass independent complication watch? many other options outside.

oho! given that I have both type of watches, that's actually a good tip..
at least now I know where to go if I got an issue with my Seikomatic Weekdater..
that being said, any recommendations on the repairs for the newer watches? hmm.gif

people really go to the one in publika, precious time or something. all my high end collector friends get their Breguet, 5 digit subs etc serviced there. their prices are also on the reasonable side.

However their backlog is massive. as of now... it might take close to 5weeks for a normal service. hopefully its better since they've moved to a bigger place.

Been using these for about a year, seems decent enough. Its just leather, no issue other than general wear n tear. Comes with quick release spring bars which is a must for me.

Just bought a Swatch Sistem51 yesterday. So far it's keeping good time +/- 1s checked at various times. Would you wear a cheap plastic Swiss automatic? Considering Seiko 5 is significantly cheaper.

each to its own i guess and there's nothing wrong with wearing an inexpensive watch as long as the wearer/owner feels good about it. by the way, what movement is the Sistem51 - is it 2824-2?

The movement is not a standard ETA but is manufactured by ETA specially for Swatch. It is disposable after 10-20 years.

blink.gif what do you means by disposal?

as it, after the prescribed period, the movement itself will "die"?

Disposable as in it cannot be serviced and is sealed into the watch case. The movement is welded together with rivets instead of screws.

I've bought several items from them..
two leather straps and one jubilee bracelet.. so far the items I've bought are good qualities..
didn't really like the jubilee one, but I think that's more to my own preference rather than Nomad's quality.. hmm.gif

Personally I have their horween straps on my PAM, pretty comfortable and reasonably priced.

I can't find good watch straps easily anymore since a few years back. Also bought from Nomad, JamMayMay, Daiso, Shopee, Amazon, etc. I have one from Etsy that is nice, a stingray.
