Probably you are right about Longines, it's brand recognition is higher among people who appreciate watches, who are not majority in our society.  But for general people who just wear watch for time keeping I believe Oris is the highest among the listed 3 brands.

If just design , with my budget I will go for ball. I really love their design and range. But my wife will ask me to get longines and I think Oris is best bang for the buck if same price. That’s why I’m super confuse. I search online example like top 20 watches below 2k usd and none of them recommend ball. @.@ it’s like never exist in any top 20 list... key word is “within my budget” la , please don’t tell me Rolex omega tudor shit..
Now oris= I love aquis ( basic aquis)but slightly higher than my budget, Williams day date is nice also, big crown complication is what I want but is it possible below 6k RM in Malaysia? I seen price 1.3k usd online...

"Look luxury" is very subjective.
Generally I would say brand recognition will make a watch "look luxury".
Say you wear a Patek Philippe go party with a bunch of people who do not appreciate watch, while another fella just wear a Rolex Oyster Perpetual in the same party. People there will tend to say he wear an expansive watch but not you. 

That is how I perceive "look luxury" for watch la. 

I believe taobaomojito would not be border whether ppl with PP is insecure or not. 
He just want to know among Longines / Ball / Oris which will look more "luxury". I recommend him Oris, is because generally there are more people tend to know this brand among the 3. More people refer to all poor/medium/rich people.

I'm waiting for the 1945 for the wifey, its either between this or the Nomos. I would like the Nomos, but they don't have AD here so can't try thus will have to wait until our next excursion to SG.

I am not sure about China. The reason I feel more people tend to know Oris in Malaysia is because Oris advertisement is everywhere, while longines is kind of rare to see their advertisement.

Once you focus on the lugs though yeah they look long.

It's one of watches I'm thinking of getting but my wrist is small. But the case is pretty small, 35mm which I think could be just nice for me.

I just bought an Oris Aquis Date and which I don't think Oris is certified with COSC.

Just to ask around (any automatic watch owners), what is your current accuracy of watch?
