Sigh... What have I done?

A childhood dream fulfilled.

But bye bye to my so called 5 year hiatus. On hindsight... 5 years is a freaking long time! 😂

Where were those people taking bets? I knew I should have put a few hundred ringgit into that bet.

Congrats on your acquisition, enjoy in good health.

I would have bet against myself too! And make money to buy more watches! Lol

Thanks guys.

It's a 2002 K series with the drilled lugs and solid end links. Kind of a transitional model coz earlier ones had no solid end links, and the newer ones had no drilled lugs.

This has the best of both worlds!

After 24 hours it's still running at +0 seconds. Really fantastic for a 14 year old watch!

older GMT with quick-set date ftw.
just like 3yrs ago can get pre-owned GMT for under rm15k.
bodo currency, bodo sheeps.
*
Actually the older quickset date will be useful if you don't wear the watch often.

My nomos is a pain in the a$$ when it comes to setting the date.

The newer non quickset date gmt makes it easier to switch timezones including the date because u can switch back and forth dates with no issue and also quickly. It also allows u to move the 24 hour hand independently of the hour hand. It's more true to a gmt in some people's eyes.

Anyone with RM810,000 spare cash?

The Hautlence Vortex Bronze can be yours

Or maybe something more colourful? The Vortex Primary by Eric Cantona.

Or maybe you just have too much cash and you want a maze on your wrist which doesn't tell time...

i don't understand people who wear nice watches but dress like a slob.

Dressing is most important to me. Can wear a cheap ass watch but make sure your shirt, pants and shoes are nice. Doesn't need to be expensive, just make sure they look good.

Got. hairline scratches. The bracelet still very new though. The case is abit rounded due to previous polishing but not very obvious. Got a damn good price for it so won't complain.

Yeah it's the 16710 K series with lug holes and solid end links. The perfect combo for me.

I think from far, near, top and bottom it will surpass Nomos. In certain point, I suspect Nomos copy DW bauhaus design.
