This is nice!

Thanks for the recommendation.
I always have this love/hate relation with seiko, easy on the wallet but lacks the "punch" when it comes to brand image.

Quality is not bad at all, maybe I should take a second look.
With all thst said, may I know where the "go to" place aside from official retails to buy these watches?

I do have personal contacts, but maybe all the sifus here have better source and deals.

Nice straps, very festive, I find Nato straps very comfortable and great to mix and match.

Has anyone dealt with KLIA customs for Ebay purchases before? I bought a vintage King Seiko watch and is now held by customs. The shipper insured it for approx rm1.5k but put it as a gift.

What's the best way to nego with the customs?

What courier service they using? If EMS or normal post, just wait for a call from post office or kastam. Nornally they will call after 3-4 days stucks at kastam. They will tell you expected tax + charges and if you agree to pay, they will do clearance for you and do delivery to your door step. Pay them during the delivery. Normally this will take 3-5 days extra. EMS will be handled by pos malaysia, unlike fedex or DHL. I like DHL or Fedex. Clearance will only take 1 day or perhaps on the same day delivery. Very efficient.

If you not agree or you want to do our clearance, just go to Pos Malaysia International Hub, next to old LCCT airport. Bring a long tt copy or invoice as this will be your proof of purchase. You will need to open the package in front of kastam officer for inspection and pay the tax. It probably cheaper than Pos Malaysia quote you as they add their delivery and clearance service charge.

Recently I bought a seiko watch from Japan. Pos Malaysia told me the tax and fee was about RM170-180 but due to long waiting time 5 days, i prefer to do own clearance. I paid RM144. It actually not worth to do own clearance but my hand was too ichy waiting for SARY087. So I choosed self clearance instead.

Guys,

I forgot to twist the crown to lock position for my Omega Planet Ocean and went to a bath with it. One of the stupid thing I ever done. And I never take bath with watches on for many many years. sad.gif.

Watches is functioning as it is except when 9pm, the watches never change to 10pm. The hour dial just stays at 9pm forever while minutes dial is moving without any issue. I have to manually turns the hour dial to 10pm and it will be ok for 23 hours until it back to 9pm tomorrow.

What can I do? Does sending to service will solve the issue? Or Need to change part? how much does it cost?

of cos sending to service will help...
and only the service center can tell u whether need to change parts and therefore the costs involved...but best guess is they will probably just take it apart to let it dry then re-oil.

this is the 8xxx with quick-set hour right?

yes correct. It is the one with quick-set hour. Could not really remember the exact model. Probably 8900.
