If the upload speed is really capped at 64kbps, IMO it would be enough for a single user to use the connection but if you plan to share the connection, 64kbps of upload is just not enough. Plus it wouldn't seem to make sense if the download speed is at 1mbps while the upload at 64kbps.

QUOTE(imk @ Jan 27 2007, 11:33 PM) http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/broadband/termncon.asp 5.3 Excessive Usage 5.3.1 Each customer's total usage per month shall NOT exceed 3GB of data volume transmitted (total upload and download usage). This is to ensure that no individual hogs the bandwidth at all times |

QUOTE(surya_k2 @ Jan 30 2007, 09:17 AM) Ok guys, So your upload was higher than your download ? For ur info...im using the 512k package, checked using the jaring application and my upload speed was 400k somethin while download was bout 110k. Did the test 4 times and got that speed twice. The other 2 times i got an upload of 100/200 somethin and download of 60...still beats dialup though..im connected via wireless to my router. The wireless signal is 4 out of 5 bars in the windows network icon. Sorry for the lack of info, newbie in this networkin/broadband stuff. |

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 11 2010, 01:35 AM) my advice: stay away from Belkin FD7634 model and its variants (e.g. FD7634-4). they tend to hang quite often though This is one of the reasons why certain brands and models are usually out of stock in the market, Linksys and Buffalo routers tend to be the most sought after routers by home consumers these days. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Jan 11 2010, 02:34 AM) Remember my last time problem regarding Belkin. It already been solve and the problem is from the firmware. After exchange another new one with an upgrade firmware from the service center, no more problem. And running much more stable than aztech. Why won't it? Well, usually people are going after the WRT54GL model in which they are able to flash a third party firmware enabling a lot more features in the router. I'm not sure whether it works with Maxis Broadband or not since I've not tried it myself but usually, it works great with a third party firmware. Added on January 11, 2010, 2:37 am Do not use linksys modem router on the maxis wired BB. It won't work. I ve been try before. |
