Why won't it? Well, usually people are going after the WRT54GL model in which they are able to flash a third party firmware enabling a lot more features in the router. I'm not sure whether it works with Maxis Broadband or not since I've not tried it myself but usually, it works great with a third party firmware. biggrin.gif

My office have a spare linksys modem router WAG2000G which I use to stanby for streamyx. No mod or anything. Just standard firmware. So tried it at my home maxis BB. Tried play with all the setting, it still won't connect. That's why I advise don't use it on maxis BB unless you have a spare unit to try or get from a friend. For linksys router only without a modem, is no problem. I tried that before.

For belkin, it connect instanlly. I ve more fate on belkin as it work more stable and longerlife. I ve tried many modem or router. Linksys, dlink, tmnut, aztech. Either don't last long or hang oftenly.

I'm quite satisfied with Maxis, OK OK la..! lol

Wa lau. Already better than TMNUT lor. If you try TMNUT, vomit blood.

As long as my torrenting is stable and consisten, I ve no complain. The torrenting is much higher speed than the speedtest. I can get 2.0/0.5mbps. thumbup.gif

With now change to belkin modem router, it much more stable and no more frequent reset anymore compare aztech. thumbup.gif

You haven't solve your disconnection problem? Try DIY yourself. Connect directly from the poll box into your modem. See how is it.

I'm interested to apply the maxis wired broadband but a little bit scare with their 18-months minimum contract. What happen if I unsubscribe before 18 months?
*
You will get sue and pay heavy fine. After apply look nice but later give you lousy service. So don't apply. tongue.gif

You should straight take up the maxis rather screamyx. You already hear alot of screamyx problem.

You have to try first. Maybe different area have different issue.

Yup. Most of the time around 190-200kBps. Unless less seed.

But the direct DL like rapid and megaupload cant go that high anymore. Mostly 40-50kBps. Using free user.

yup, latest utorrent updated.

hmm, maybe utorrent is the one bringing the prob. im gonna try other torrent software smile.gif

Utorrent should be good for DL.

I use utorrent for DL too. So far no problem with it. But less use now as I switch to NAS already.

Try optimise the network setting. There is a software to do this. Another one is to encrypt the content DL.
