just got zenfone 3 ze552kl from digi phone package. Totally worth it.

Build quality is really good. Flagship kinda quality. Super light too. I think if asus play their marketing cards right, they can surpass xiaomi in Malaysia. Right now, xiaomi is like doing badly. They have bad marketing, bad stock control, so-so build quality, lousy miui. Only reason mi is so popular is their cheap price. But what's the point if always no stock.

Personally, I prefer Asus's ZenUI. Eventhough it is laden with a few bloatwares, it does have a lot of features that miui does not have. Small small touches here and there that adds up to a better experience. But this is subjective so I am sure there are people who like miui more.

im considering to purchase new phone and zenfone 3 ze552kl is one of the phone i look at. (i want to buy op3 but out of budget and always out of stock, pfft).

but i see the proc is only sd625 and redmi note 3 have sd650 which is better, but i dont really like redmi note 3 design.

ze552kl owner can advice me the good and the bad. currently using oppo find 7 with sd 801. is the upgrade worth it?

it is a minor upgrade from sd801 to 625. But if you are looking for other features like better camera or better build quality or new android marshmallow or just a fresh new phone then you can upgrade.

The 625 is a new SOC from qualcomm. Performance is slightly below 650. But very minimum. The ze552kl have 4gb ram whereas note 3 have 3gb. That's a bit of future proofing but really minor.

I own both ze552kl and note 3 and I have to say the ze552kl beats note3 in almost every aspect. I have not had a change to play games on ze552kl yet but I don't think it will differ much.

Then again, if you consider the pricing difference you will see note3 is half the price of ze552kl. If you have the budget, i would say go for ze552kl. You will love the phone more. But if you have to compromise for the cost then note 3 is not too bad.

But like I said in my post previously, if camera is important to you then stay away from note 3. It's camera is lousy.

+1 prepare mass price drop by end of the year or awal tahun depan. maybe by 50%  like they did to zenfone 2

anyone manage to find proper screen protector or tempered glass for ze552kl? I can't find proper one. The one selling is smaller size. that does not fit ze552kl properly. The bottom is like cut off somewhere between the capacitive touch buttons. Worst case is some of the SP sellers say it is "memang" like this. "No problem one". I was like!??!?! Imagine how ugly it will make this gorgeous phone.

My Zenfone 3 Deluxe ( 4GB ram/64GB version) preorder from Lazada due for arrival on 19 Sep had been delayed to end Sep. Lazada email me yesterday giving me a RM30 voucher as compensation !!
I really look forward to its arrival as seriously was very impressed with the ZF3 Ultra
I will test and compare it with my other Axon 7

Oh, looks like Asus online support is clueless then. Online chat with them, they confirmed with me that it is now available for purchase in the market.
