I once lost an item from US, it was my fault for using the cheap shipping mail. US shipping rate are very expensive compare to other country. So it is best to ask for registered shipping instead of standard, will cost higher but safer. Deutsche (German) postal are the fastest in my opinion, usually take less than 3 weeks to receive your stuff.

i actually paid my stuff into 3 parcel @ USD110 each

afaik, anything >RM500 will be detained for duty

but according to http://tariff.customs.gov.my

guitar HS code falls under 9207 90 000
with no import duty or sales tax,

mainly 6% GST

Yeah but only can track till they arrive at airport after that it's literally impossible unless you have the number and btw how they know about info like where to ship to ?

That's good if no taxes for guitar but they will still detain it right since it's well over 500

Registered mail is like our pos daftar malaysia. It come with a standard tracking number which you can track online globally, should be something like this: RE123456789US. Sometime the transit is what make the item take longer time.

Try using these different sites to check the item status:

If it's USPS priority is it already registered or need to ask seller to registered and pay a small fee ?
