Oh mann.. why did u have to poison me with the usg. Now i wish they sell it cheap in france. I have a lame dilemma of new shoes vs new usg. Let me know if the blockage categories work. Does it block only? Or is there other fancy stuff too? |

wanttotree
just asking your opinion on this matter where 1. Line A (TM Unifi)– All staff pc IP range 192.168.x.x 2. Line B (Maxis Fiber) – All Guest devices IP range 10.110.x.x is this possible to be made? |

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Dec 12 2017, 03:12 PM) wanttotree I think it might be possible. U can add additional firewall rules/dhcp(ofcz)/masquerade. Use vlans if ur using lite. But if u have the x, it should be straight forward enough. Let me know if u progress. I havent touched my er lite for almost a year now cz its been working non flaw since i moved it to my parents house. I could definitely replicate that setup with my mtik tho.just asking your opinion on this matter where 1. Line A (TM Unifi)– All staff pc IP range 192.168.x.x 2. QUOTE(pandera999 @ Dec 12 2017, 03:12 PM) wanttotree Edgerouter is very capable, your case is not a problem. You also can create up to 4 SSIDs with Ubiquity AP for your company such as Line A group, Line B group, Guest (totally separate from other lans) and admins.ijust asking your opinion on this matter where 1. Line A (TM Unifi)– All staff pc IP range 192.168.x.x 2. Line B (Maxis Fiber) – All Guest devices IP range 10.110.x.x is this possible to be made? I am working on edgerouter and USG for sometimes already, dual wan, DHCP, selective wan routing, selective vpn routing, vlan tag, multiple SSIDs with different rights, forced DNAT for website content filtering, captive portal hotspot and many others. Edgerouter Lite plus Unifi AP can be very powerful for SMB already. For home usage, Edgerouter X should be enough. |

Hi,
im using streamyx right now 8MB. Have lots of IOT device using Wifi to be deployed into my future home. Currently testing fews stuffs on my current house. All switches, bulbs will be wifi enable. On my current setup after changing to 2 Wifi/Router/AP i found out the wifi connection is not really stable. Sometime my Google Homes, Echo Dots cannot reconnect to wifi requiring AP reboot. Was using TM net supplied AP/Wifi/Router/Modem and curently DLink with huge antenna. Still the same .. Question 1) Would Unifi AP solve my prob Question 2) Can i use my current Dlink and configure as bridge so that Edgerouter can dial in Pppoe ? or do i need to buy dumb streamyx modem just for this? Question 3) mu future home is 2 stories bungalow around 4000 Sqf . 2 Unifi Ac pro can cover whole house? Question 4)I am running my home automation server . Will setting port forwarding easy enough for Unifi router? thanks |

QUOTE(kucau @ Jan 2 2018, 02:29 PM) Hi, 1 ) It depends, but if from Fiber box - edgerouter - switches - AP, then very high chances it will solve your problemim using streamyx right now 8MB. Unless D-Link modem is the root cause of unstable internet. 3) hard to tell, need layout plan to check on heat map. 4) port forward is easy. Problem is Not sure you can get public ip or not, otherwise u need ssh reverse port forward or cloud vpn. For security reason, recommend vpn. With a lot of IOT, recommend you to use unifi series product, as you can monitor all devices and check connection status in single page. Very nice user interface and u will like it. If u not confident with unifi solution, recommend to buy one AP to do testing first if satisfy then invest more. But u need to do network planning to prevent wastage. |

Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to setup HyppTV with USG and US-8-60W? I just bought these two equipment recently and managed to get the USG to perform PPPoE through WAN port with VLAN500. However, I've searched through almost all articles and posts but still have no idea how to setup HyppTV with the switch and USG. Thanks! This post has been edited by Edevane: Jan 5 2018, 05:56 AM |

I've tried setting up the required networks through VLAN-Only but the HyppTV STB is getting DHCP IP address from the USG instead of TM. Thus, the connection cannot be made and no image is showing. |
