Trying to figure out how set this up while waiting for my units to arrive. But have yet to purchase any UAP AC yet.
Have a few questions : 1. Is it possible to have 2 ISP into 1 UAP AC? Either separated or load balanced will do but I'm keen to know if both will work or not. 2. Do I need 2 ethernet ports like the UAP AC Pro to have both ISP LAN connect to it? 3. If question 2 needs 2 ethernet port UAP AC, is there any flaw or drawbacks connecting 2 PoE Injectors into my ER-8(still curious to know this even 1 injector is enough)? |

QUOTE(mileage123 @ Jun 21 2017, 11:37 PM) Trying to figure out how set this up while waiting for my units to arrive. But have yet to purchase any UAP AC yet. Dont know much about ubnt, but here is my best answer. For question 1 n 2, UAP AC/UAP AC Pro are access point (much like a switch for LAN). All traffic to the internet is under responsible by a router. Load balance is need to be perform by router (er-8). Not sure your question no.3, each PoE injector (supplied in each UAP) is to powered for each UAP. ER-8 is powered directly to ac plug.Have a few questions : 1. Is it possible to have 2 ISP into 1 UAP AC? Either separated or load balanced will do but I'm keen to know if both will work or not. 2. Interesting
Ubiquiti GPON Nano G https://www.ubnt.com/ufiber/ufiber-nano-g/ Most likely Unifi compatible ONU. Affordable pricing... http://www.4gon.co.uk/ubiquiti-ufiber-ufna...nit-p-7013.html |

Hopefully there are some ppl who can figure how to obtain the PON pwd. Was looking at sfp onu module frm huawei, and now this. Getting kinda intrigued.I believe we still need to obtain the PON password. Newer ONU from TM are locked down. |

If the ISP won't change the serial number for you, your ONU must support changing the serial number. Until Ubiquity publish the documentation about this, don't bother about it.2. If you are using Huawei, you might want to try the default superadmin (telecomadmin) account. I managed to login to it last year on but later Time has updated the configuration remotely & changed the password. For Time, the password is same as the PPPoE password if I remember correctly. You can try the following steps at your own risk https://zedt.eu/tech/hardware/obtaining-adm...huawei-hg8247h/ 3. Don't bother about SFP ONU. The configuration can only be pushed from the OLT provisioning. It is meant more for service provider or corporate user. I doubt your ISP will even entertain you if you are just home or low tier business subscriber. I have a gpon onu sfp module collecting dust because of this. |

Until Ubiquity publish the documentation about this, don't bother about it. I've tried changing own ONU and it worked. PON password is the only thing needed for unifi. We are lucky as some European ISP pair Serial no + PON password.2. If you are using Huawei, you might want to try the default superadmin (telecomadmin) account. Until Ubiquity publish the documentation about this, don't bother about it. New ONU from TM is fully locked down. WEBUI, SSH and Telnet all disabled by default. Pretty much out of luck for new TM subscribers.2. If you are using Huawei, you might want to try the default superadmin (telecomadmin) account. Dear all sifus here, I wanna ask is anyone of you using LBE-5AC-23 Ubiquiti LiteBeam AC 5GHz 23dBi AirMax CPE WiFi UBNT Bridge before?
What I'm trying to do is this:- - use it to beam(LBE 1) the signal from TIME 500mbps Building A to Building B which is 1km distance (view from google maps) - Building B receive the signal(LBE 2) and transmit it to another unit of LBE-5AC-23(LBE 3) by using CAT6 Cable - (LBE 3) will beam the signal to Building C (LBE 4) which is 1.2km distance (view from google maps). Anyone has done this setup before? Please advice whether it will works or not and also advice on setup guide if can.. Thanks all sifus.. |

For example I'm subscribing 500mbps Internet, how much will it left in Building C? why not from PtMP setup. straight give internet from A to B and C as long as clear LOS. but C is 2.5km away from building A... it still can be done.. And then, my current setup is building B will has 2 unit of LBE-5AC-23 which 1 unit going to do receiving then send signal to another unit by using CAT6 network cable.. Please advice.. Thanks |

Thanks well.. why not do A to B and C at same time (PtMP) LBE 5AC-23 as station usage will maximized its potential. well, you can control the bandwidth how much you want provide for both of the building. and block some of streaming website (this more likely on network management). i suggesting you use rocket with antenna (sold separately) as AP. |

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Jul 5 2017, 04:07 PM) also by ubiquiti.. Wow.. Thanks for your suggestion..R5AC-Lite normally will do.. and check airMax antenna AM-5G17-90.. it sold separately... but this is actually the proper way for your wireless backhaul and bridge I really like your idea and also learn something from you from our conversation.. The problem now is I already bought 4 units of LBE-5AC-23 AirMax, so might only stick to the old plan.. so regret that i did not find this forum earlier... T_T BUT, i still hope you can advice me on the setup using 4 LBE units if can .. ehehhe... Thanks |
