As opposed to asking for name, number, unit number... to be sure wouldn't it be better to also ask for IC, scan of the signed SPA, scan of the loan offer. You see where I'm going with this?

Also, nothing stopping me (or anyone else) from saying my unit is A-25-05 (or choose another random unit) for example - where's the proof? (Which is where the IC, and signed SPA and loan offer to compare against come in)

Just seems like a false sense of security (purely to keep out agents?) while at the same time unnecessarily giving away personal information.

I think there's more than 1 Telegram group... The "original" larger group had a Gestapo admin that wanted all kinds of personal details to approve entry. The second group is definitely quiet but there are still some announcements in there.
