Hi, anyone here using ViewSonic 32" IPS 1440p (VX3209-2K)?

What is the respond time you all set at monitor menu - manual image adjust?

Standard, Advanced or Ultra Fast ?

For the moment I set it as Advanced as I read somewhere mentioned Ultra Fast is too aggressive and generate side effect (but this is on another model). I actually seems can't detect much differences just I feel like the screen more bright when set others than standard and I need lower down a bit the brightness.

By the way, below is my setting, I find it this is the best setting (for myself)
  • Contrast - 65
  • Brightness - 70
  • Color Adjust - Cool (sRGB is too dull, Native is somewhere seems not correct, Bluish is way too blue and warm is too yellowish)
  • Viewmode - Standard (Others mode disable the contrast and brightness adjustment and the preset is way too bright to me)
  • Response Time - Advanced (I dunno what to set, so I put it on center, Haha!)

yo! i am using this model also. bought two and sold 1, cause my wife dont like it. ok back to the topic,

its an awesome monitor with this price but i feel the brightness is not bright enough as most of time i used it for gaming, enemy hide at the dark corner can be hardly seen.(i am comparing it with my predator monitor) even i max the brightness to 100 lol.(currently use nvidia control panel to solve this issue) so far so good.response time i put standard only.

Below is the games I test out, the only having bad tearing is F.E.A.R 2. TimeShift is slightly tearing. The rest is smooth and no issue. smile.gif

I put the monitor near the most end of table and I seat as usual a table length. It is flicker free thus I don't find any tiredness even long usage with proper suite myself brightness and contrast.

If use for watching movie I will seat slightly far a bit.

You are most welcome. Here my additional impression about the black output.

Attached here the photo taken of the monitor when using black background. I find it very constant and very black, off course not as pure black as VA+ panel but it already meet my black requirement. smile.gif

oc the mon to 75hz , no tearing at all(rainbow 6 siege, battlefield1 , watchdog, tomb raider and witcher 3). using gtx1080 to test, max/ultra setting on 2k resolution wont go too high fps. but if ur coming from 144hz panel take more times to get used to it and for me, so far so good.

Some mentioned OC to 75hz will reduce to 8 Bit instead of original 10 Bit color.

I didn't try on this monitor as currently my output is Intel HD 530 which I think don't have way to OC like Nvidia where can set custom resolution.

I am using laptop which means only GPU part is handle by Geforce 970m.
