QUOTE(Barricade @ Sep 29 2024, 11:26 PM) I got the email on 14th September. On the email expiry date is 01/12/2024. Does it mean I only need to pay the total lump sum of my BT before 01/12/2024? Or I need to split into even figure for 3 months? No. You still need to pay minimum (5%) every month according to your statement and final balance on 1st Dec. QUOTE(carmenl @ Nov 30 2024, 10:29 PM) Hi would like to ask given the scenario expiry on 1 Dec, if I pay minimum every month, then the last full settle not on 1 Dec but in between third month statement and 1 Dec. Do I still get early payment penalty kah . Eg I pay on 25 nov . Thanks Yes, will get penalty for early settlement. Just leave RM 10 and pay on 1st Dec.

QUOTE(Altrius @ Dec 13 2024, 02:55 PM) Can the SST for the VI be waived? Also I read through some of the HLB BT in this forum, the payment due date for BT is not the same as the credit card statement due date? You get a separate BT acc or something? How does the HLB BT work actually? SST can never be waived, it is a government tax. Due date for every month is the same as your normal credit card statement due date but there is a BT expiry date is different and you will need to clear off the BT payment on the expiry date. That means if you take 6 months BT, you will still pay monthly BT installment like normal (usually 5%) and clear off the remaining balance on the expiry date. Yes, separate account. Just pay to that account. You can ask in BT thread as it has too much to answer: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3918057

My VI card is peeling, the plastic layer I mean. It’s so ugly now and I need to use it until 2029. Is there any way I can get it replaced for free? If only HLB would adopt Apple Pay then I don’t need to carry the physical card.

QUOTE(Barricade @ Jan 22 2025, 02:39 PM) Call in and say the chip got problem, every time inserted into terminal it won't read. I got it replaced for free. I was thinking of this excuse and thanks for verifying that it works. I find banks give ridiculously long expiry date now, I don't know how can the cards survive till then. I have a couple of cards will only expire in 2030.

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Mar 4 2025, 04:47 PM) Just applied for HLBB VI card, looks like the best all rounder for Enrich miles? 3.5 airmile per RM1 for almost all retail transactions makes it less complicated/hassle to use and among the best conversion cards out there. Also have a Alliance VI otw as well. Yeah, I use it for normal retail transactions but again I mix and match a few cards.

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Mar 4 2025, 10:16 PM) You get 3.5 Airmiles for Insurance payment too right? I didn’t see it listed as an exclusion in the T&C. If that’s true then this will be a jackpot card for me 😅 Oh, that's a good point, I didn't use it for my insurance. I guess should be included.

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Mar 11 2025, 04:13 PM) Just got my VI card and noticed a few things.. 1) I applied the normal VI and received the physical normal VI card but in my online account website it says Visa Infinite (P)? Is that normal? 2) Expiry year is 32! That's so freaking long 3) It's a new card but a small part of the black patterned coating faded, showing the silver/gold underneath. Quite a sloppy quality card... 1) Yes. 2) Yes, that long. 3) Yes, terrible quality. Mine is already peeled off and I have to use until 2029 for my case. Plan to report that the card is not waveable and hopefully will be replaced.

I would appreciate advice from those having supplementary cards from HLB. This is my first time applying for one for my mom, HLB VI. So, my statement date is every month's 16th, and she swiped it on the 6th (first transaction) and 12th, and both transactions were posted before the statement date. I have received the statement for my cards, but I didn't see them showing on my statement. I checked the app and online banking, it shows both outstanding payment and statement balance 0, due date is 6th May. 6th May is the due date for all my cards, so the statement date is the same, every month on the 16th. Free spending from the bank? I won't complain if that's the case. If you all have any similar experience, please share. I guess I will call HLB soon to find out what's going on.

Just called CS then only I realized the transactions went into my principal card instead, though I can see the transactions recorded under my supplementary in the app. The good thing is I don't need to split the payment and pay everything via my principal card.

QUOTE(ldragon @ Apr 18 2025, 04:15 PM) I think most of the contest are scam . How a normal person can spend RM35k / month Errm, why not? Just buy some luxury bags and watches already more than that. To be honest, I hardly participate in any contests now but I won more than RM 1k from HLB before and I also got from MBB, UOB and PBB before. So, not all are scams.

I wanted to replace my VI (peeling and number fading), there is no way it can last until 2029. So, as suggested by someone here, to use the reason - card not readable. I contacted the CS via live chat and they suggested to use app to replace it and contact them again later after activation so that they can request for RM 50 (card replacement cost) reversal. I requested on Monday afternoon and just received the card replacement, straight activated it. Chatted with CS again and they will request for the waiver, I should see the waiver in my next statement. HLB has been good.
