Confirmed? Where is the announcement? If effective 1 Sep, the announcement should be available earlier, today d 14 August.. Not enough for 20 days period..
*
technically if they announce next week it's still possible that the 20 days will be within next month and they only ask you to spend more and no change in categories. so no planning needed in case that's the argument.

thanks biggrin.gif

two important points:

1) is it just 2k for new criteria?
2) when effective?

Still scratching my head to plan my spending on this card. TM, Astro and tngo especially.
*
Unfortunately all three items not qualified for any cash back. Previously Sam Groceria was the only place to accept credit card for all the above payment but you need to choose Grocery category but now all cash only.

I run some numbers. Moving my insurance to Wise is just about +250 difference in a year. To sweeten the deal, they should abolish the AF.
*
they still think giving RM100 per month is their main selling point.

"highest cash back in the market"

therefore, they dont budge when anyone asks for waiver.

anyways i paid my AF in june (charged on may 22nd), i guess it's too late to try and ask for waiver now sad.gif

the trouble is the min 2k spending got to keep track. if spend less by 0.10, may be the 100 cb becomes 0.

if max cb at 4.xx % annually after factor in the AF. it is not so attractive anymore n smaller spenders will have no option but to cancel it. I think switch to spend on other cards to gain Enrich/KF points and convert into tickets may worth more in terms of value.
*
to them, this is the amount they are willing to pass to you. whether you meet the criteria or not it's not their problem.

this card is useful for those who have lots of bills to pay where one card is not enough. 2k is achievable.

but for normal user i don't recommend keeping it if HLB want to continue with the AF.

This is true. All of a sudden, those who opt to continue will 'spam' all their insurance bills, cukai pintu, lesen perniagaan, car service to this card ! And don't forget to pay your AEON Big Visa Card from this card, using Posonline.
*
i always spend 1k on this card currently to get RM100 monthly so just have to think that spending 2k will give effective 5% cb which is not bad although technically it's only 10% to the ones under the categories.

Need to spend RM24,000 per year to get RM1,200 rebate and not forgetting need to pay AF with 6% GST.
*
like i said, achievable if you have lots of bills to pay. if you can't get RM100 cb monthly, no point keeping this card with the AF.

not trying to be very technical, but what you said earlier did not remotely mean that. therefore, it sounded very confusing.
