QUOTE(PhucDaBich @ Sep 14 2016, 03:40 PM) Actually effectively the Cash back is reduced to 5%, Get maximum Rm100 back with Rm2000 spending. I believe many of us just spend RM1000 to get RM100 cash back previously. Now we need to spend double it. Time to find a new card... I will be keeping my WISE card because I paid RM1500 UTILITIES bills for my shop. i know that, but your statement was about swiping RM2000 ONCE in a month

Is that means that as long as I swipe rm2k per mth regardless of which category, then I'm entire for rm100 cash rebate? To be honest, it's not worth for it as we still need to pay annual fees. Some more the annual feed is expensive. Unless it's life time free annual fees. Then it can be consider. I'm going to terminate my card before it expired.

From my reading in this section best card to replace WISE especially those who subscribe for groceries n petrol is PBB VS and MBB VS. If not eligible for MBB VS can apply for MBB ikhwan.
Petrol -MBB VS 8% daily -Ikhwan 5% on friday/saturday
Groceries -MBB VS 8% daily -PB VS 6% daily -Ikhwan 5% on friday/saturday
Mobile/some utilities -PB VS 6% daily

The effectively CB can be lower than 5%, is depend on how much you spend on your selected category with total spending of 2000 and above

Might as well use MBB VS and PBB VS to pay most of the categories covered by Wise, no minimum spending amount required

I hold this card and hardly ever use it, but I think features are as follows - 0.2% on all local spend - 2% everyday on petrol and groceries (if total monthly spend is below 2k) - 8% everyday on petrol and groceries (if above 2k) The 2k requirement is similar to Wise, but at least you get something if cannot achieve. And 0.2% on the other spend is better than 0.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 14 2016, 01:01 PM) they have the rights to revise the features, we have the rights NOT to use it totally understand that statement, but just doesnt make any sense QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 14 2016, 01:07 PM) 24k actually. It means whole salary needs to be spent on it. QUOTE(BeastX @ Sep 14 2016, 02:24 PM) Actually lower entry... means the people are unlikely to hit 2k each month.... hence no need to pay out 10%.... 24k ok i diam

Just to share more info I just got from CS about the new Wise terms: 1. My annual fee is due in Dec. I asked if it would be charged per normal or if waiver is possible. They said no waiver and if I don't want to pay, then better don't use card near the anniversary date. Guess I'm not as lucky as others . 2. The 2k retail spend covers almost everything except those specifically listed. From 1 August, HLB cards (including my Fortune) changed terms such that government and Jompay are excluded from receiving cashback. However, this exclusion does not apply to Wise 2k retail spend criteria. So, if you spend 1k on Wise categories and 1k on government (including DBKL, LHDN, MPPJ etc) it will fulfil the 2k criteria. On related note, Pos Online MCC is 9402 (government). Because of this, I did not qualify for cashback on my Fortune card in a August.

QUOTE(PhucDaBich @ Sep 15 2016, 09:48 AM) Economy is really bad nowadays, Even banks tightening their belt. I just got my WISE card in June, Only used few months and they changed T&C. Even Maybank 2 Cards also reduced their benefits. Times are tough Once they changed the TnC, look for alternative/ replacement card, there are always other options available. Don't keep the card, else they will never competitive
