i have a few brand in mind. which is:

Entry-Level 144Hz Monitors (non g-sync)
ASUS VG248QE = RM1549
BENQ XL2411Z = RM1199
XB240H = RM999

basically most of them are the same 144hz with 1080p resolution. Why there are too much price difference. Is it just for brand or any technology which differ them?

im also wan to find them 144 hz 1080p, seems unpopular in malaysia, $250 usd after convert RM 1000 dont forget got custom duty, gst also =(

asus is known for overprice. no big deal.

The XG2401 from viewsonic will reach Malaysia by end of August, it quite a good option for amd user. Just hope the price won't be skyrocket since it's price in amazon now is around 250usd.

This is actually an old post. Last week when i see review n did my research, then i made my poiny on this two monitors which is :
XB241H (1080p, TN)
XB271HU (1440p, IPS)

Both are gsync ready. I choose 1440p coz im using gtx1070, quite wasting the juice if only play in 1080p. But i still havent made my mind on which one. On term of budget yes im able to spend xb271hu. Im thinking of playing games just for one year more then quit. Then use the monitor to watch movie. Thats why i choose IPS panels.

But still during reading review, mybe i will change my mind. Haha

XB271HU seem not bad. I compare to X34 only 60hz. How come XB271HU has better rate which is 144hz?

Actually it's limited by the cable bandwidth of Display Port 1.2a.

2k UltraWide x 100hz ~= 2k Wide x 144hz ~= 4k Wide x 60hz <= Bandwidth Display Port 1.2a.

The monitor cannot break the above unless they upgrade to higher bandwidth to Display Port 1.3 or 1.4 which can't be found in today's monitor yet.

Therefore the 3 options, choose your best flavour for high end monitor.

try scout out for IPS panel ; you will instantly see the difference compared to TN panel in terms of color presentation

All 1.2 Display port able to support 144hz at 2k. On as it goes higher 165hz it need 1.3 DP.

Yeah did see the videos already but notice not much different, need to have real ips panel infront of me. Lol. But sure right now would think of ips. Dont intend to do much gaming for the next year. So hurmm... Watching movies??

just go to lowyat or digtal mall ; they have alot f monitors showing same content ... you can judge yourself

dont trust video.. if you watch on a 'bad' monitor in first place ; there is no difference..lol
